Belluscio Wins Some, Loses Some
Julio Belluscio and Shannon Peace had already built a pot of 500,000 on a board of 3♠3♦Q♣2♦K♦. After action was passed to him, Belluscio fired 225,000 sending Peace to the tank.
Peace took considerable time and apologized for the time he was taking. Finally, he mucked his hand. Belluscio was gracious enough to show him Q♦5♦ for a rivered flush. Peace mentioned that he had queen-ten but that Belluscio could have the pot this time.
A few hands after, this time with 160,000 in the pot beside a board of Q♠5♥4♥J♠, Belluscio fired 100,000 against his opponent in cutoff, Chad Layne. Layne called to see the last card.
The river 10♣ fell, and after Belluscio checked, Layne fired 400,000 into the pot, sending Belluscio to the tank. It was his time to concede both his hand and the pot to his opponent.
