Pauli completed, Owen called all-in for his final 40,000, and Weiss called.

The side pot checked down until sixth when Pauli led and Weiss folded. The down cards were revealed as Pauli had a made nine against the seven draw of Owen. Jon Turner: 2x2x / 9x2x4x6x / Xx
Adam Owen: 9x7x / Qx5x3x3x / Xx

Adam Owen was all-in for 10,000. He then turned out to be the bring-in with a Qx. Rules dictate that action moves to the left, with no player bringing in. It folded to Stephen Hubbard who bet the bring-in amount.

Jon Turner called and both players checked fourth street. Turner bet on fifth and sixth street, with Hubbard calling once and folding the second time.

"I was bluffing," said Turner tabling trip deuces. He made a nine-eight on the end with an 8x and Owen was live with nine-seven draw. He flipped the 4x and stayed alive, sextupling up in the process.

Turner flung his last chips in on the end, seemingly blind, and Owen went into the tank.

"Spread the pot," Turner said with a smile, with Owen facing incredible pot odds.

"This would be the sickest bluff ever," said Owen after a while, before ultimately folding. Turner showed 8x7x for a made ten-eight.

"That was the best hand," said Owen. Turner flipped the Ax as his final hand, improving to a eight-seven.

"I couldn't fold that," said tablemate Sebastian Pauli, with Dennis Weiss agreeing.

There's a New Hellmuth Competing at the World Series of Poker

Level 26
Nicholas Hellmuth
Nicholas Hellmuth

Attempting to make a living playing poker professionally isn't easy when your dad is one of the greatest in the history of the game.

But that's exactly what Nicholas Hellmuth is doing, as he competes in the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP). The youngest son of 17-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth entered Day 1b of Event #34: $500 COLOSSUS on Thursday.

PokerNews caught up with the 23-year-old son of a legend to find out if he plans to follow in his father's footsteps, and just how much the "Poker Brat's" persona has rubbed off on him.

It's no surprise that Phil Hellmuth's kids — Phillip Hellmuth III and Nicholas — play poker. Their father has been competing for WSOP bracelets and appearing on televised poker shows for nearly 40 years. But Nicholas was never pushed into the industry by either parent.
