Nguyen Burst the Bubble
Level 20
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Khoi Le Nguyen opened for approximately 100,000 from the cutoff on the stone bubble, leaving just a single 1,000 chip behind. Action folded to Vlastimil Pustina who called from the big blind.
The 5♠K♦10♣ flop was snap-checked by both to see the 9♦ turn and the same to get to the 3♦ river.
Pustina threw 6,000 chips into the middle to cover Nguyen's remaining stack and Nguyen called.
Khoi Le Nguyen: A♥J♣
Vlastimil Pustina: 8♣8♠
Nguyen tabled his cards and his ace-high wasn't enough to save him. Nguyen hit the rail on the stone bubble, missing out on the minimum payout of $13,695.
