Play has concluded in the second day of action here at the Paris Las Vegas for Event #45: Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better; Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better. Ten hours of split-pot action was on the schedule today, with 204 players returning this afternoon.
A total of 587 entries were tallied in this year's edition, a slight increase from last year's 575, generating a prize pool of $1,306,075. At the end of play today, just 24 remain in contention for the first-place prize of $248,545.
Leading the field after Day 2 is Andrew Yeh, who had a strong finish to the night on his way to a bag of 1,720,000 as he chases his second bracelet, the first of which he won in the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship back in 2022.
Finishing the day in second was Eddie Blumenthal (1,410,000), and Nikolai Fal rounds out the podium in third (1,295,000). Fal is a bracelet winner, while Blumentha has come close before on several occassions.

Day 2 Action
The eliminations were swift to begin the day, with the field shrinking quickly as the tournament approached the bubble. Allen Kessler was a notable exit early on, after his aces were cracked by some non-premium holdings.
Daniel Negreanu was on the wrong side of a cooler when he exited just a few spots away from the money. He made trip sevens and a seven low, but he was scooped by the wheel of Stanislav Ivanov.
About three-and-half hours into play today, the floor staff instructed the dealers to pause for hand-for-hand. However, before each table completed the current hand, both Jon Turner and Ralph Smith were eliminated, and they both took home $2,500, splitting the minimum cash.
The remaining 88 players were all in the money and guaranteed a minimum cash of $5,000.
Some notable players to cash but fail to make Day 3 include Jesse Lonis (85th - $5,000), Blaz Zerjav (71st), Amnon Filippi (58th), Allan Le (51st - $5,250), John Juanda (47th - $5,870), and Barbara Enright (46th).
