Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes Bags Big on Seniors Day 1b
Some know him as "Kool Shen", others as a Winamax Ambassador. But Bruno Lopes is through to Day 2b of Event #46: $1,000 Seniors Championship.
With over $2.2 million in career earnings, Lopes has been a major figure in the French rap scene since the 1980s, but has been playing poker since the early 2000s. Two years ago, he finished sixth in the $5,000 Seniors High Roller — his best WSOP result to date.
He sits 13th in chips, having bagged 267,000, not far behind Day 1b chip leader Andrew Rosen (363,000), who is the only player above 300,000 in chips.
It's tight at the top, though. Gary Jbara (296,500) and Jeffrey Ayars (293,000) round out the podium spots.
