Ka Kwan Lau limped in from early position, and, one seat to his left, Barrett Threadgill did the same. Stian Usterud joined in on the button before Gruffudd Pugh-Jones spoiled the party with a raise to 150,000 from the small blind. Lau called, but the two limpers folded.
The dealer laid out a A♦8♦2♣ flop, and Pugh-Jones moved all in for 195,000. Lau, who had used his hands to cover the flop, peeled the cards one at a time. Clearly, he hadn't connected, as he returned his cards to the dealer.
