Matakis Takes Out Linde, Threadgill Doubles Off Yang
Level 23
: Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Dylan Linde got in his last 255,000 from the small blind and was up against Ian Matakis on the button.
Dylan Linde: A♥10♣9♦5♥
Ian Matakis: A♠9♠6♥2♣
Matakis hit two pair on the 6♠3♦2♦ flop, and the rest of the board ran out J♦3♣ to keep him in the lead and send Linde to the rail.
A few hands later at this table, Barrett Threadgill raised to 280,000 in the cutoff and Chongxian Yang called on the button. Threadgill then moved all in for 285,000 on the 6♦9♠9♣ flop, and Yang called.
Barrett Threadgill: 10♠10♦8♣4♦
Chongxian Yang: J♣8♦7♣5♦
Yang was chasing a straight draw against Threadgill's two pair, but he failed to improve on the 3♠ turn or Q♠ river as Threadgill held on to secure the double up.
