Ding Left Frustrated Twice as Mermelstein Doubles

Level 24 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Jeremy Trojand raised to 350,000 on the button and Biao Ding called in the small blind. Steven Sarmiento then reraised to 1,400,000 in the small blind and Trojand quickly folded, while Ding angrily tossed his cards away.

A few hands later, Ding raised to 350,000 in the hijack and Levon Kharchatryan called in the small blind, as did Aaron Mermelstein in the big blind. Ding bet 1,150,000 on the A73 flop and Kharchatryan folded, while Mermelstein called for his last 210,000.

Aaron Mermelstein: J863 All in
Biao Ding: AK85

Ding was ahead with top pair, but Mermelstein hit two pair on the 6 turn. The river was the J and Mermelstein finshed with jacks and sixes to win the pot and double up.
