Kessler Doubles Up Johnson... Again

Level 17

Seven Card Stud

Marco Johnson: A4/A299/Xx All in
Allen Kessler: QQ/A597/Xx

Marco Johnson completed and Allen Kessler raised. Johnson put in the call, then raised fourth street after Kessler led out. Kessler called to see fifth.

Kessler then slowed down and check-called fifth, before checking sixth, too. Johnson moved all in for 23,000, sending Kessler into the tank. "You have to have the other ace," he said to himself. Eventually, he flicked in the call.

"You go first, but only if you brick," Johnson told his opponent for the second time in a number of minutes. As if history was repeating itself, Kessler bricked again, peeling the K. Even if he had hit two pair, Johnson pulled the 4 on seventh for aces up and a double.
