Just a few hand back from the break, Abhishek Mhatre raised to 120,000 from the small blind and Jonathan Tamayo moved all in for his remaining 750,000 in the big blind. Mhatre made the call and the players went to showdown.

Mhatre held on the Q♣3♠6♣ flop, improved to a set on the J♥ seeing Tamayo resing on the hope of a king to fall on the river for the straight.

The 4♦ river card was no good and Tamayo bustout the tournament in 25th place for $17,500. Also loosing the chance at locking up a second WSOP bracelet after taking down the Main Event in 2024.
