Guagenti Busts Drawing Dead

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Action was picked up after the first draw, with Nick Guagenti all in from the small blind. The under-the-gun player David Avina bet out and was called by Casey Hayes on the button.

Guagenti took one, Avina took two, and Hayes took one on the second draw. Avina then check-shoved over Hayes' bet, and Hayes called off.

Avina then stood pat, with both of his opponents drawing one. His 7x6x5x3x2x had both of his opponents drawing dead, as Guagenti turned over 8x7x5x3x and Hayes tabled 8x7x5x3x. Their Kx and Jx pulled on the final draw were irrelevant.

Hayes was eliminated from the tournament shortly thereafter.

Alessio Isaia raised under the gun. Alexander Rizvi three-bet from the cutoff, and Isaia put in the call.

Both players drew two, and action checked through. They both took two again on the second draw, and Isaia led out. Rizvi moved all in for 39,000 and Isaia made the call.

Both players drew one, with Isaia tabling 8x7x6x5x and Rizvi drawing smooth with 5x4x3x2x. The dealer dealt out their last cards, and Isaia started to squeeze his.

He had to get some lessons in etiquette from the table, as multiple players told him to flip his card face up. "I want to squeeze," he replied, and took around ten seconds doing so before tabling a 10x. Rizvi was very live, looking for a seven through ten, but he paired his four, ending his tournament.
