Dan Shak had just been eliminated by Kristopher Tong and left the table rather upset.

What followed was then an open-raise by Brian Rast in the cutoff. Tong called with his massive stack on the button, which was then dubbed as "the heat check" by Christopher Vitch when Rast discarded two and Tong took three.

They checked to the second draw on which both took two. Rast bet and Tong called. The final draw saw both players discard one each and Rast's bet was called. Rast showed a pair of eights, and Tong won the next pot with 7x5x3x3x2x for a pair of treys.

The heat check is confirmed. Tong is still running hot.

Mercier drew two, while Moncek took one. Mercier check-called a bet.

Both players drew one on second draw, and Mercier once again check-called.

On the final draw, Mercier took one while Moncek stood pat.

Mercier led out with a bet, and Moncek made a reluctant call. Mercier tabled 8x6x5x4x2x, and Moncek mucked.

On the next deal, Chris Hunichen raised from middle position and David Lin called from the small blind.

Both player took two on the first draw, and Lin check-called a bet.

The same action took place on second draw.

On the third draw, Lin took one and Hunichen stood pat. Lin check-folded to a bet.

The 5 fell on the turn. Mantel fired another bet, but this time Glaser raised. Mantel called, and he check-called when Glaser tossed more chips into the pot on the 10 river.

Glaser tabled QQ43 for nut-nut, scooping the sizable pot.

Miki check-called a bet of 18,000 from Brewer after the 10A3 flop. The turn brought the 4 and Miki checked to Brewer, who sized up for a bet of 100,000. Miki took some time and made the call.

Both players checked after the 9 on the river, and Miki tabled 43 for two pair. Brewer said "F**k, I knew it" and mucked his hand to give the pot to Miki.

Baker announced a flush and showed the QQ9 which left Lonis frustrated, as he flipped over the AA and a heart.

"My hand ran out so good so I had to keep betting, I didn't think you had a three there," Baker said in table chat.
