Bryce Yockey

Pot-Limit Omaha

Bryce Yockey raised to 85,000 under the gun, leaving himself just 15,000 behind, and Phil Ivey called in the cutoff, as did Roy Thung and Jason Mercier in the blinds.

Action checked to Ivey on the 9107 flop, and he bet 50,000. All three opponents quickly folded.

Yockey was forced all in from the big blind the next hand, the 47th since going hand-for-hand, as four opponents limped in to see the J310 flop. Ivey then bet 50,000 from the hijack, and Nick Guagenti called in the cutoff.

Ivey checked the 6 turn and Guagenti bet 110,000. Ivey called, and Guagenti bet another 155,000 on the 10 river. Ivey again called.

Guagenti turned over KJJ5 for a full house and Ivey mucked, while Yockey also tossed 9865 into the muck as he made his way to the exit on the money bubble.

Roy Thung: Jx8x8x/Ax4xAx3x
Jason Mercier: XxXx/6x6x3x5x

Roy Thung completed, Jason Mercier two-bet, and Thung called. Both players checked fourth street, and Thung kept checking on fifth street. Mercier tossed in a bet, which Thung called.

Thung check-called again on sixth street, after which seventh street was checked to showdown. Thung sheepishly tabled a jack-low, but it was good enough for the pot as Mercier mucked his cards after carefully studying them.

Pot-Limit Omaha

The next hand, the game switched. Bryce Yockey made it 85,000 in the hijack, seeing Nick Guagenti three-bet to 260,000 from the small blind. Yockey called, leaving 100,000 behind.

Guagenti put in the rest on the 52J flop. A pained Yockey spent several minutes in the tank before deciding to fold and preserve the last of his chips.

Hunichen Takes a Chop Against Hellmuth

Level 18

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Chris Hunichen raised and Phil Hellmuth defended the big blind after which Hellmuth check-called the AQ7 flop. Hellmuth bet the 3 turn, Hunichen raised and Hellmuth instantly three-bet. The raising and subsequent calling chips of Hunichen came within a second.

Hellmuth's bet on the 5 river was called and he tabled the K654 for the nut flush and a low. Hunichen had 10432 for the wheel and they chopped the pot.

Both talked about the hand right after and Hunichen admitted that his turn raise was likely a mistake, and that he should have flatted instead.

"It almost cost me, I would have been sick to my stomach if you had the flush and wheel".
