Glaser Takes a Chunk Out of Vitch's Stack

Maksim Pisarenko bet the 10105 flop for 35,000 before the 4 turn and K river were checked down against Brian Rast, the former tabled the A10 and won the pot.

Benny Glaser then raised to 35,000 in the hijack and Christopher Vitch called in the big blind. The Q105 flop was checked to the 5 turn on which Glaser bet 60,000 and Vitch called. Glaser bet the very same 60,000 on the 8 river to get paid off and won the pot with the [AdTc6 for tens and fives.

Mercier Can't Blast Tong Off Aces

Kristopher Tong raised to 50,000 under the gun and Jason Mercier called in the big blind.

The flop came K62 and Tong bet 40,000. Mercier then raised to 135,000, and Tong called.

Both players checked the 9 turn. Mercier then bet 215,000 on the 7 river, and Tong quickly called.

Tong turned over AA106 for a pair of aces, and Mercier mucked.

Phil Hellmuth raised under the gun. Nick Guagenti called in the small blind, and so did Chris Hunichen in the big blind. Hellmuth continued with a bet on the 6QA flop. Guagenti check-called before Hunichen check-folded.

Hellmuth fired twice more, once on the 8 turn and once on the 6 river. Guagenti check-called to showdown, where Hellmuth took three-quarters of the pot with A1032 against Guagenti's A1054.

Luke Schwartz raised to 50,000 in the cutoff and Bryce Yockey three-bet to 140,000 on the button. Schwartz then moved all in for 425,000, and Yockey took a minute before calling.

Schwartz had Yockey dominated and was poised for a double up, but the J62 flop gave Yockey top pair and the lead. "That's so sick," Schwartz said in disgust as he shot out of his seat.

The rest of the board ran out 910. "Insane," Schwartz added before heading off to the rail.

"Don't ever run like Luke," Eric Wasserson said.

Christopher Vitch raised to 30,000 under the gun. Maxx Coleman placed a three-bet to 100,000 in the cutoff, after which the action folded back to Vitch.

Vitch spent some minutes in the tank before moving all in for 240,000. Coleman snapped him off with the covering stack.

It was looking dire for Vitch, but the 8Q109 turn gave him a straight. The 8 river remained clean, earning Vitch a vital double-up.

Paul Volpe raised from under the gun and Roy Thung made it three bets on the button, both blinds folded and Volpe called. They both took one new card and Volpe they checked to the second draw, taking one new card each. Volpe check-called a bet thereafter and took one again whereas Thung patted.

Both opted to check it down and Thung's 9x7x6x5x2x won the hand.

Jesse Lonis bet from under the gun on a flop of 4102 and Dara Taherpour called in the hijack, as did Matt Glantz in the big blind.

Lonis bet again on the 9 turn, and only Taherpour called this time. The river was the 6 and Lonis bet. Taherpour called once more.

Lonis turned over KK104 for a flush, and Taherpour mucked.

Bryce Yockey raised in the hijack, receiving a call from Eric Wasserson in the small blind. They both drew two cards, after which Wasserson check-called a bet from Yockey.

They then took one card each on the second draw before Wasserson led out with a bet. Yockey called, drawing one card on the final draw against Wasserson's pat.

The duo checked it to showdown, where Wasserson's 8x7x5x4x2x won him the important pot.

On the second draw, both took one new card and Glaser check-called a bet.

After taking one new card and Rast patting, Glaser bet and was called. The Brit tabled the 8x7x5x4x3x but Rast had him pipped holding the 8x7x4x3x2x.

Schwartz again stood pat and bet, and Thung called after drawing one. "You seem like a kind man," Schwartz said as he stood pat and checked the final draw.

Thung took one, but he then bet. "He makes a kind gesture and gets this in return," tablemate Eric Wasserson said as Luke Schwartz tanked for several minutes. He eventually called, and Thung showed 8x6x5x4x2x to win the pot.
