Action Has Slowed Down

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

The pace of play has slowed dramatically of late at one of the final two tables. Five-minute hands that never see a flop seems to have become the norm.

There were six shoves and all-folds during a plodding a rotation, but only the backs of cards were shown.

That changed when Spyridon Apartoglou raised to 200,000 under the gun.

The folded action folded to Maher Achour in the hijack and he raised to 575,000. Apartoglou took a while, but made the call.

The flop came 53K. Apartoglou checked. Achour bet 375,000. Apartoglou called.

The turn brought another heart, the J. Both players checked.

The 8 hit on the river. Apartoglou checked again.

Achour thought about his next move for a bit, then bet 900,000.

Apartoglou went into an extended tank.

Five minutes later ... he folded.
