WSOP Announces Next Chapter For WSOP Paradise With Venue Change

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is set to usher in a new era for its winter flagship, WSOP Paradise, after confirming the festival will move from Atlantis Paradise Island to the luxury Baha Mar resort, also in the Bahamas.

The 2026 edition, slated to run from Tuesday, December 1 to Friday, December 18, will shuffle up and deal in a new home roughly six miles up the Bahamian coast from where Austria’s Bernhard Binder announced himself to the wider poker world, capturing the record-breaking 2025 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event just a few months ago.

In an announcement on social media platform X, the WSOP wrote, "The next chapter of WSOP Paradise is coming... Bigger. Better. Unmissable. This December, the world's fastest-growing poker event arrives at the stunning Baha Mar."

In a hand that ran five minutes into the break, Hang Xu bet 450,000 under the gun, holding on to his last 15,000.

Mauro Ferreira thought about it for some time, then made the call. Thinking that Xu was all-in, Ferreira tabled his hand, showing A♦3♠.

After the flop came 7♥4♠2♣, Ferreira made the 15,000-chip bet to pull Xu all in.

Xu considered his options for a while, then made the call.

Mauro Ferreira opened in middle position to 175,000, and Corentin Soulier on the button called. Mans Montgomery in the small blind joined in to see a flop.

The flop came 2♦10♠2♣. After action was checked to him, Ferreira continued with 165,000, and only Soulier called to see the next card.

Both players checked the 3♥ turn and the K♦ river. Soulier tabled A♣Q♥ for ace-high while Ferreira hit two pair on the flop with his 10♣9♣.

The hand was joined on the turn with Maher Achour and Spyridon Apartoglou tussling over a pot that already had 1,000,000 chips in it.

With the board reading Q♣6♠K♣2♥ Achour checked in the small blind. Apartoglou bet 720,000. Achour made the call.

The 9♣ fell on the river. Achour again checked.

Apartoglou tanked for a bit, then bet 2,900,000, all but 80,000 of his stack.

Achour went into a deep tank, considering his next move for a good five minutes before he folded.

The Q♦6♣5♥ flop was checked by both active players. Latorre checked the 9♥ turn and folded to a bet of 800,000 from Smiljkovic.
