Lonis Gets Short; Doubles Back to a Million

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Jesse Lonis
Jesse Lonis

Jesse Lonis had been trending downward for the past couple of orbits, but recently doubled to get back to a seven-figure stack.

In the hand, Sascha Wilhelm opened to 50,000 from under the gun and was called by Maxi Lehmanski from directly behind. It was then folded to Jesse Lonis, who raised to 210,000 from the big blind. Wilhelm moved all in, which got a quick fold from Lehmanski and a call all in from Lonis for 460,000 total.

Jesse Lonis: AQQ6All in
Sascha Wilhelm: KKJ4

Lonis was behind, but the Q6J57 runout improved him to a set of queens to keep his run alive.

Barney Waves White Flag

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Joshua Barney raised to 70,000 in the cutoff, and Leonardo Daviglus called in the big blind.

Daviglus check-called a continuation bet of 50,000 on the A7K flop, and check-called again on the 8 turn, this time for 100,000.

When Daviglus checked for a third time on the 5 river, Barney checked back.

Daviglus tabled K976 for a small flush, and Barney mucked his hand.

Riess Shows Smit a Boat

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Werner Smit raised to 50,000 from early position and was called by Ryan Riess in the small blind for a heads-up pot.

Neither player put in a bet on the JJ10 flop, Q turn, or A river.

"Tens-full," Riess said as he turned over 101077.

Smit couldn't beat it and mucked — conceding the pot to the 2013 Main Event champion.

Cavanaugh Doubles But Owes Zlotnikov $200

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

James Cavanaugh raised to 30,000 in the cutoff and Antoly Zlotnikov called in the big blind. Joseph Liberta then reraised to 130,000 in early position, enough to put Cavanaugh all in.

Cavanaugh went into the tank as he considered the decision for his last 55,000. "Tough spot," he said, as the field was also within one of a money jump.

"$100 and I don't call the clock," Zlotnikov told him.

"It would be worth it," tablemate Diogo Veiga added.

The clock was eventually called after several minutes and Cavanaugh called for his last chips. Zlotnikov got out of the way.

James Cavanaugh: KQJ9 All in
Joseph Liberta: AA102

Cavanaugh hit trips on the QQ6 flop to take the lead against Liberta's aces, and he improved to a full house on the 9 turn. The river was the 5 and Cavanaugh doubled up. "Played that to perfection," Cavanaugh said.

"My price is now $200. Will you pay me in crypto or cash?" Zlotnikov joked.

Foxen Takes Out Monroig

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen

Kristen Foxen raised to 40,000 in the cutoff, and Michael Monroig called in the small blind. Gruffudd Pugh-Jones then three-bet to 160,000 in the big blind, which Foxen and Monroig both called.

As soon as the 682 flop hit the felt, Monroig moved all in for 145,000. Pugh-Jones folded, but Foxen called.

Michael Monroig: K987 All in
Kristen Foxen: 10876

Monroig had a world of outs to take the lead, but those outs were cut dramatically on the 8 turn as Foxen improved to a full house.

The 4 completed the board, sealing Monroig's fate and sending him to the payout desk.

Lehmanski Doubles Through Lonis

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Three ways on a flop of K47 with a bit over 150,000 already in the middle, Jesse Lonis checked from the small blind and Maxi Lehmanski bet 195,000 from under the gun. Martin Zamani called on the button and Lonis announced, "Pot."

Lehmanski quickly called all in for his last 505,000 and Zamani let his hand go after a bit of contemplation.

Maxi Lehmanski: Q865All in
Jesse Lonis: 7722

Lehmanski would need some help against Lonis' set and immediately got it after the 6 turn improved him to a straight.

The J river failed to improve Lonis and Lehmanski was awarded the double up.

Mokry Shoves on Guerra

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Lautaro Guerra raised to 55,000 under the gun, Karel Mokry three-bet to 185,000 on the button, and Guerra called.

The flop came Q84 and Mokry bet 125,000. Guerra then raised to 350,000, and Mokry called.

The turn was the A and Guerra checked to Mokry, who moved all in. Guerra had around 650,000 behind and tanked for a few minutes before folding.

At another table, Farid Jattin bet 50,000 from the big blind on a flop of 893 and Zarvan Tumboli called on the button.

The turn was the 3 and Jattin bet another 115,000. Tumboli then raised to 325,000, and Jattin folded.
