(Forty) Three is the Magic Number

Level 19

Pot-Limit Omaha

Action was picked up on the turn, in a pot contested between big blind Nicholas Marchington and under the gun Nacho Barbero. There was 70,000 in the pot, and the board read 4954.

Marchington bet 43,000, which Barbero called after a lengthy tank. The river came the 5 and Marchington decided that 43,000 was the right size for a second street running.

Here, Barbero considered his option for a good two minutes. Eventually, he flicked in a chip. Marchington tabled KQJ3 for a king-high flush, with a very cheeky smile on his face. Barbero was in disbelief, and stared at his opponents cards for some time before handing over the chips. Marchington continued to smile, describing himself as a "lucky b*stard"

"Your guy is playing very well," Barbero said to Patrick Leonard, who was sat the next table over.
