There were approximately 185,000 in the middle on a board that read 10J275 when this hand was picked up.

Naoya Kihara checked from the big blind before Ian Matakis went all in for 179,000 out of the cutoff position.

Kihara gave it some thought before he put in the call.

Matakis rolled over 9864 for a straight, which was enough to topple Kihara's hand of AQJ2 to score the double-up.

There was some commotion on the table when a multi-way limped pot to the 1096 flop had the players figure out that the pot size was wrongly declared and Josh Arieh was then able to pull back his bet of 25,000 to make it 15,000 instead. Alex Foxen raised to 50,000 and Arieh was the only caller.

Arieh then bet the Q turn for 125,000 into 130,000 and Foxen called, which led them to the 5 on the river. Arieh fired a bet of 350,000 and Foxen called for most of his stack.

"Ace-queen," Arieh said without revealing his cards just yet. Foxen tabled his Q1087 for the flopped ten-high straight and Arieh mucked.

A poker player with no recorded live poker tournament results has entered the $100,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha event at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) nearly for free.

Phillipp Mellon, who doesn't even have a page on The Hendon Mob, showed up Tuesday with just five other players when the high-stakes tournament began at 1 p.m. PT. He sat down at the table to play against crushers such as Alex Foxen and Eelis Parssinen, both 2026 bracelet winners. Jason Koon, who is up for Poker Hall of Fame, was among those who registered shortly after the tournament started.
