Antoine Sankari opened to 100,000 from middle position. Axel Bayout in the hijack three-bet all in for 675,000, then Zilong Zhang in the small blind jammed for 880,000. Sankari snap-called.
Axel Bayout: 10♦10♣
Zilong Zhang: A♠Q♠
Antoine Sankari: A♦K♥
Bayout was slightly in the lead but his hopes were dashed by a queen on the flop on 8♥Q♥3♣3♠6♣. The Frenchman was eliminated while Zhang almost tripled up.
Action was heads up to the J♦3♠6♣K♥8♠ river, with around 750,000 already in the middle.
Martin Jacobson led out from the big blind with a bet of 525,000, leaving Greg Himmelbrand to ponder his next action. After taking some time, Himmelbrand opted to let his hand go and Jacobson picked up the pot.
David Miscikowski opened to 100,000 from middle position. Nicolas Jean in the hijack three-bet to 275,000, but Miscikowski eventually four-bet to 625,000.
Nicolas went into the tank but folded.
The action was picked up on a board of J♣Q♠2♥3♠8♠. Qiao Du in the small blind checked and saw Martin Jacobson on the button bet 650,000, the exact size of the pot.
Du went into the tank for several minutes, until the clock was called. He decided to fold before the end of the countdown.
Cards went on their backs with Eli Ross in the small blind all-in and at risk for 125,000 against Igor Popyk in early position.
Eli Ross: J♣10♣
Igor Popyk: A♥K♥
The board ran out 4♠Q♣8♥Q♦3♦ and Ross was sent to the rail.
Evan Lindemann opened to 100,000 in early position, and Gabriel Karlsson made the call in the small blind. Alexandre Arnold then three-bet to 425,000 in the big blind, and Lindemann stuck in the call.
Karlsson got out of the way, and the Q♣J♣9♥ flop saw both remaining players check. Arnold led out for 350,000 on the 7♦ turn, and Lindemann stuck in the call.
Arnold checked the A♦ river, and Lindemann counted out a bet of 1,200,000. That produced a fold from Arnold, as Lindemann raked in the pot.
John Juanda's stack was in the middle from the small blind, facing off against Ayman Qutami in the big blind.
John Juanda: Q♠Q♣
Ayman Qutami: 5♥5♦
Both players revealed their pocket pair, with Juanda's queens holding through the 3♣8♥2♦3♦J♦ runout to secure the double. That left Qutami with just three big blinds.
Three-way on a flop of 8♣7♦A♠ with Ayman Qutami in the small blind already all-in, Zilong Zhang in the big blind and Alexander Ivarsson under the gun checked. They also checked the 2♣ turn and the 10♥ river so all three players flipped over their cards.
Ayman Qutami: K♥Q♥
Alexander Ivarsson: Q♣Xx
Zilong Zhang: 10♣9♥
Zhang rivered a pair to take the pot and eliminate Qutami.
David Miscikowski raised to 100,000 from the cutoff and Nicolas Jean on the button called. Ohad Geiger in the big blind moved all-in for a bit more than 1,200,000, Miscikowski reraised all in and made Jean fold.
Ohad Geiger: A♥K♥
David Miscikowski: J♥J♠
Geiger flopped top pair on Q♦10♣K♦ while Miscikowski had a straight draw. The 2♣ turn changed nothing but the 9♥ river completed a straight for Miscikowski to eliminate Geiger.
