Doddapaneni Flushes Gabellini Out

Level 33 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Johan Gabellini in the big blind and Sriharsha Doddapaneni in cutoff had already built a 2,000,000 pot when the flop dropped 796.

After a check, Doddapaneni shoved all in for more than 8,000,000. Gabelini, covered, called, risking his tournament life.

Johan Gabellini: 109 All in
Sriharsha Doddapaneni: K9

Both players hit the nine on the board but Doddapaneni had the better kicker. The dealer peeled a 10 on the turn, pushing Gabellini in the lead with two-pair.

The river 6 gave the lead back to Doddapaneni with a flush sending Gabellini to hit the rails.

Schauermann Gets Pay Jump, Runs into Aces

Level 33 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Darrell Schauermann moved almost all of his chips into the middle, sliding forward 850,000 from the cutoff while leaving a single T-25,000 chip behind. Eric Weber moved all in on the button, with Schauermann tanking on the verge of a pay jump.

Once a knockout was confirmed at another table, Schauermann slid in his final chip.

Darrell Schauermann: KQ All in

Schauermann's reward for making the pay jump was Weber's pocket aces, which held through the K83J7 runout. That sent Schauermann to the rail, as Weber picked up the pot.

"There's no way he could do it, could he?"

That was the question on everyone's lips last summer before Michael Mizrachi pulled off the unthinkable, winning both the Poker Players Championship and the World Series of Poker Main Event.

Now, a year later, people are asking that exact same question.

Mizrachi once again looks poised to make a deep run in the WSOP Main Event, sitting inside the top 50 chip counts, despite falling foul to a quads cooler.
