Hold onto your hats because the first $10,000 Omaha event of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) explodes into action at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas from 2:00 p.m. local time on May 30. Event #9: The $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship is scheduled to run for three days, wrapping up on June 2, although this event has run into a fourth day in the past.
Expect to see some of poker's Goliaths take to the felt for this event, as it proves extremely popular with high-stakes gurus. Big names, a big buy-in, and tons of split-pot action are about to come your way.

Structure and Schedule
Day 1 of the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship commences from 2:00 p.m. local time on May 30, with entrants receiving a 60,000-chip starting stack. Blinds start at 300/600, and limits are 600/1,200, which gives players ample room to maneuver.
The plan for Day 1 is to complete 10 levels, with 15-minute breaks scheduled every two hours. Levels 1-6 last 40 minutes before extending to 60 minutes from Level 7-20. Late registration remains open until the end of the 11th level, at approximately 2:15 p.m. local time on Day 2.
Speaking of Day 2, that begins at 1:00 p.m. local time on May 31. Another 10 levels are on the cards, with those levels increasing every 60 minutes. Players head on a deserved 15-minute break every two levels, and will get to fill their hungry bellies during a 60-minute dinner break after Level 15 (approx. 6:30 p.m. local time).
Those fortunate enough to make Day 3 return to their seats at 1:00 p.m. local time on June 1 to conclude the tournament. Levels are 90 minutes long throughout Day 3, with the WSOP structure sheet stating there are 10-minute breaks every level, plus some extended breaks. Reach the end of Level 22 (approx. 7:30 p.m. local time), and you get to enjoy a 60-minute dinner break.
Past Champions & History
Last summer's $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship was won by Ryan Bambrick, who denied the legendary Daniel Negreanu heads-up. While Bambrick won $470,437 and his second bracelet, Negreanu's wait for an eighth bracelet continues.
