The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) kicked off back on May 26, and now it is in the home stretch as June has come to an end and the $10,000 Main Event is underway. More than 70 tournaments have awarded bracelets thus far, and the PokerNews Live Reporting team has been on-site all summer long, capturing the action.

During that time, they've reported on some entertaining hands, bad beats, and more, which we're happy to feature in the latest edition of "Hands of the Week" presented by GTOWizard.

Shing Digs New Digs

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

After a five-way limp preflop, the board came Q106 and Benjamin Pockett bet 43,000 on the button.

Three players got out of the way, but Philip Shing, who had just sat down at the table in the big blind, made the call.

Pockett bet 75,000 chips on the 6 turn. Shing thought for a bit, then made the call.

When the A landed on the river, Shing took the lead, posting his own bet of 75,000.

Pockett quickly tossed his hand into the muck.

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha Double Board

9K105Q

Brevin Andreadis was all in from middle position, facing off against Jonathan Krela on his immediate left.

Brevin Andreadis: AK105 All in
Jonathan Krela: AA87

Andreadis watched as he hit two pair on the bottom board, then turned two pair on top. Krela was unable to improve on either river, seeing his double-suited aces come second best on both boards to double up Andreadis.

Five Card PLO

Carlos Sanchez opened to 20,000 in the hijack, and Frank Brannan made the call in the cutoff. Mike Matusow was next to act on the button, and moved all in for 47,000.

Sanchez then four-bet the pot to 173,000, and Brannan took some time before sticking in the call. Sanchez led out for the rest of Brannan's stack, making it 145,000 on the 66Q flop. Brannan folded, and the cards were turned up.

Mike Matusow: AAQ43 All in
Carlos Sanchez: KJ998

"I have aces," Matusow said and he held his phone up recording the hand. The 4 turn and 5 river left Matusow with the best hand, earning the triple-up while Sanchez collected the side pot.

Walsh's Set No Good

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Big O

All the chips were pushed forward in a three-way all-in on a board that flopped 954.

Igor Dubrovsky: AAQ73All in
Kieran Walsh: JJ994All in
Farhad Jamasi: 87332

All three players had some of the flop, with Walsh holding top set, Dubrovsky having an ace-trey low draw and Jamasi an open-ended straight draw with a look at a two-three for low.

The tale would be told on the turn and river of K6, which delivered the nut straight for Jamasi to knock off Walsh.

Dubrovsky took half the main pot with his low.

Maxx Coleman
Maxx Coleman

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Michael Lenz raised to 32,000 from under the gun, and Justin Liberto was the only caller in middle position. Lenz led out for 35,000 on the A85 flop, and Liberto took some time before sticking in the call.

The 3 turn produced a bet of 150,000 from Lenz, with Liberto sliding his cards into the muck before the chips reached the middle of the table.

Big O

On a nearby table, Julie Marriott was all in for her last 44,000 on the turn with her hand of 106632 holding a set of sixes.

Maxx Coleman bet out the rest of the table and scooped when his A10742 made a straight and the nut low, sending Marriott to the payout desk.

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Big O

Christopher Gregg moved all in with his 48,000-chip stack, on a board of 3K10Q. Jun Weng made the call.

Christopher Gregg: A732All in
Jun Weng: AJJ2

With no low possible, Gregg was banking on his ace-high flush draw. But the 6 landed on the river, and Weng claimed the pot with the Broadway straight he got on the turn.
