Razz

Phillip Hui: XxXx / 6x6xJx4x folded on sixth street
Chino Rheem: Ax3x / Qx2x5x8x / 3x
William Kerkaert: XxXx / AxJxKx7x folded on sixth street
Jiyang Gan: KxKx / 5x9x9xJx / 7x

The floor was called over to the table to confirm what pot Jiyang could win because he was at risk for a fraction of the ante only on third street. William Kerkaert completed and was called by Phillip Hui and Chino Rheem. Kerkaert bet again fourth street to pick up two calls before Rheem bet fifth street to get called twice.

Rheem bet sixth street once more and this time, Kerkaert folded as did Hui. By then, Gan had already gathered his belongings and was drawing dead because this has been a Razz hand and not Stud.

Suzuki Back Above Half a Million

Level 15

Omaha Hi-Lo

The very swingy day of Ryutaro Suzuki has continued because he nearly doubled his stack since the break. In the latest hand, he led the 664Q turn out of the small blind and David "ODB" Baker called. They checked the J river and Suzuki tabled the AK42. It was good enough to win the pot as Baker mucked with the words "nice hand".

Daniel Negreanu is Wrapping Up a Highly Profitable 2026 World Series of Poker

Level 14
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu will wrap up his most profitable World Series of Poker in years on Wednesday, and he'll finish the summer in contention for WSOP Player of the Year.

The GGPoker ambassador came into the series having played minimal poker since the WSOP Paradise series in December. But he didn't show any rust and not only won his second bracelet in three years, he reached four final tables and still has a chance at one more in the $25,000 High Roller H.O.R.S.E. event.

Negreanu bagged an above-average stack Monday on Day 1 and will return to action at 1 p.m. PT for Day 2. It could be his final shot at another deep run at what has been a successful 2026 WSOP for the Poker Hall of Famer.

Smith and Hui Leave Gan on Fumes

Level 14

Omaha Hi-Lo

On the river of a 1052107 board, Philip Hui bet and Jiyang Gan called before Dan Smith raised. Hui called and Gan very reluctantly called to get shown the A443 by Hui. That was good for the low, as Smith held the AA65 for the high whereas Gan mucked.

After the hand, the players went on a break and their table will break once they return.

The remaining 47 players have been sent on their second 15-minute break of the day.

Kerkaert Pads His Stack

Level 14

Omaha Hi-Lo

William Kerkaert raised first to act and called a three-bet from Jeremy Ausmus, who was directly behind him.

Kerkaert check-called a bet from Ausmus on the K37 flop and then both players checked on the 6 turn.

The 4 river brought four cards to a straight on board and Kerkaert led out for a bet. Ausmus didn't take long to send his cards into the muck and Kerkaert added to his stack.
