Steven Daly Eliminated in 5th Place ($51,663)

Level 38 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Steven Daly
Steven Daly

Action folded to Steven Daly on the button who jammed all in and was snap-called by Jason Wheeler in the big blind who had Daly covered.

Steven Daly: K10 All in
Jason Wheeler: 1010

Daly was in trouble and needed some help. The dealer duly obliged when he fanned out the AJK flop and Daly soared into the lead.

Wheeler was drawing very thin to get the knock out and the 3 turn changed nothing.

However the poker gods have a wicked mind sometimes and duly served up the 10 on the river which gave Wheeler his set to send Daly to the rail in fifth place.

Sharma and Daly Continue to Swap Stacks

Level 38 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Nishant Sharma moved all in for 3,750,000 from the small blind, and Steven Daly made the call from the big blind.

Nishant Sharma: AQ All in
Steven Daly: KQ

Yet again two monsters collided blind on blind, with Nishant Sharma dominating his opponent.

The 648 flop kept him in the lead, and the 6 turn changed nothing. "Pair the board!" shouted Zurvan Tumboli, who comprises about one tenth of Sharma's rail.

His wish came true, as the 8 peeled off on the river, securing his compatriot's double.

Daly Survives as Sharma Takes Hit

Level 38 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Steven Daly was first to act and shipped it for 5,500,000. Nishant Sharma woke up with a hand in the big blind he was willing to go with and made the call to put Sharma at risk for his tournament life.

Steven Daly: Q10All in
Nishant Sharma: A8

Sharma had the slight edge preflop, but it was Daly who would vault into the lead when the flop came 5103 to give him a pair of tens.

The 8 hit Sharma giving him a couple of more outs to win the pot, but the river was all Daly when the Q hit on fifth street to secure the double-up.

Schechter Doubles Through Wheeler

Level 38 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Ian Schechter moved all in from early position for 4,250,000 and action folded around to Jason Wheeler in the big blind who double checked the count and made the call.

Ian Schechter: A9 All in
Jason Wheeler: 55

Just the flop that Schechter orderd came of 6AK to blast him into the lead. There was no five for Wheeler on the 6 turn nor the 10 river and Schechter was shipped the pot for a double-up.

Atanas Pavlov Eliminated in 6th Place ($38,737)

Level 38 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Atanas Pavlov
Atanas Pavlov

Table big stack Jason Wheeler moved all in from the small blind, and Atanas Pavlov took a quick look at his cards in the big blind before calling.

Atanas Pavlov: A10 All in
Jason Wheeler: AQ

It was a blind on blind cooler, as Pavlov was looking to pull a Jumalon. The deck had other ideas, however, as the Q32 flop had him completely on the ropes. The 6 turn sealed his elimination, with the A river nothing more than a needle.

The elimination resultes in Wheeler holding half the chips in play.

Javier Fernandez (ES)
Javier Fernandez (ES)

Javier Fernandez raised to 4,500,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Jason Wheeler in the cutoff who three-bet to 9,000,000 which was enough to put Fernandez all-in. Action came back to Fernandez who snap-called.

Javier Fernandez: AQ All in
Jason Wheeler: KK

No help came for Fernandez on the 962 flop but with the Q peeling off on the turn, he picked up some additional outs. There was no joy on the 7 brick of the river and Fernandez was sent packing in seventh place.
