Negreanu Takes from Mariani

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Omaha Hi-Lo

Picking up the action on the four-way flop of {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Francis Mariani bet out of the small blind and the big blind folded. Daniel Negreanu raised, Walter Treccarichi in the cutoff folded and Mariani called. On the {A-Clubs} turn, Mariani checked and called a bet by Negreanu before check-folding the {7-Clubs} river. He flashed {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{X-} for the busted nut-flush draw and a pair.

Linton Gets Half of Three

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Pete Linton
Pete Linton

Omaha Hi-Lo

Pete Linton raised from under the gun and Christopher George three-bet on the button. Barbara Enright called from the small blind and Linton called as well.

The board came {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Spades} and the action was the same on all three streets with it checking to George who bet and the other two players calling each time.

Linton showed {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for two pair and the high half of the pot while George {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} and Enright {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} split the other half of the pot each with the nut-low.

Negreanu is Moving

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Daniel Negreanu bet a four-way flop of {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} out of the small blind and was called by Paul Sokoloff only. On the {2-Clubs} turn, Negreanu checked and Sokoloff bet to force a fold from Negreanu, who mucked {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} face up. Right after, his table broke and he moved to the Brasilia room, sharing the process with his followers via smart phone.

Among those still in the Miranda room is Adam Greenberg. He just survived an all-in via a split pot, then got the rest of his short stack in with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} on a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Peter Levine called with {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and the {5-Diamonds} turn and {A-Clubs} river gave Greenberg a full house. The hopes of a miracle comeback were shattered soon after and the next table broke.

Tom West is the biggest stack on the sole remaining table in Miranda.

Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Omaha Hi-Lo

Jan Stein limped from under the gun, Jason Mercier raised on the button and Adam Dickson called from the small blind. Edward Nassif from the big and Stein both joined them, making it four to the flop.

On the {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} board it was checked to Mercier who bet and his opponents all called.

The action was the same on the {7-Hearts} turn except only Stein called, then both remaining players checked the {9-Hearts} river.

Mercier turned over {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for aces up and took down the pot.

Razz

Adam Dickson: {X-}{X-} / {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} / {X-}
Edward Nassif: {X-}{X-} / {3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts} / {X-}

Start-of-the-day chip leader Adam Dickson made it four bets on third street and was called by Edward Nassif by betting through each street. Nassif just called him down and Dickson announced "I just have two pair" and showed the {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} while mucking his last card.

Nassif tabled {5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and won the pot. "You must have put me on two pair, right?" Dickson asked and took a small bump to his stack, though the Brit is still up for the day.
