Diamonds Are Pescatori's Best Friend

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo

Andrew Kelsall lost a big hand with flush under flush against Kyle Loman, then doubled his short stack against Esther Taylor.

In a seven-card stud hi-lo hand, Max Pescatori started singing, "Beautiful diamonds," when he was the only one with a diamond as an up-card showing. Brandon Shack-Harris completed with a four, and Pescatori called. The Italian found another diamond on fourth street and bet, and Shack-Harris called.

On fifth street, the diamonds did look beautiful, as Pescatori picked up another, and his bet forced a fold from Shack-Harris.

Dmitry Chop and Frankie O'Dell Eliminated

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Dmitry Chop turned a ten-high straight in an Omaha hi-lo hand against Frederic Moss, and the latter rivered a full house to eliminate Chop.

Frankie O'Dell followed shortly thereafter from a different table. O'Dell defended his big blind against David "Bakes" Baker and got the rest of it in with {A-}{Q-}{6-}{4-} on a flop of {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Baker looked him up with the {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and turned the {3-Spades} for the wheel. The {K-Diamonds} river was a blank, and O'Dell also headed to the rail.

Dickson Chops Up His Stack

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo

Yuval Bronshtein: {X-}{X-} / {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{Q-Spades} / {X-}
Adam Dickson: {X-}{X-} / {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} / {X-}
Wayne LaMonica: {X-}{X-} / {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} / {X-}

Wayne LaMonica completed, and Adam Dickson called before Yuval Bronshtein made it two bets. Both opponents called, and Bronshtein bet fourth street to pick up a call from each opponent. Bronshtein also bet fifth street, and LaMonica called. Dickson raised, and both opponents came along.

Bronshtein bet sixth street with two calls following before betting seventh street again. LaMonica eventually folded, and Dickson called, then said, "Chop it up," and turned over {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}. Bronshtein had {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for aces and nines and won the high half.

Dickson Down; Klevitz Takes from Moss

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Adam Dickson was down to just 50,000 but managed to recover from that and won a bigger pot off Frederic Moss. The latter then raised in a limit hold'em hand, and William Klevitz called out of the blinds. Klevitz check-called the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop and the {K-Spades} turn before the {10-Hearts} river was checked through.

Moss announced a pair of kings and mucked as soon as Klevitz flashed {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a rivered two pair.

The chip leader on that table is now Wayne LaMonica, who has been one of the most aggressive players lately.

Trigeorgis: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts}, and Trigeorgis' kicker played and eliminated Treccarichi.

Sokoloff Sends Dobson to the Rail

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo

Not long ago, Paul Sokoloff was in dire need of help, but the mixed games and limits can create massive pots to change the fortune all of a sudden. One of such four-way pots saw three low draws in a seven-card stud hi-lo against him and Sokoloff had jacks in the hole, improved to jacks and eights later on.

Benjamin Dobson was the player at risk in that hand and failed to get a low. Instead, he only made sevens and sixes on seventh street and was eliminated.
