Bojang Keeps Crushing

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Ismael Bojang has been sitting on a big stack for hours, and he just increased his piles again. Coming to the table just after he'd just knocked an opponent, the most important things were evident. Bojang's hand was the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, and he made the nut straight on the board of {J-}{4-}{10-}{7-}{K-}.

Bojang's table will be soon broken, and that should bring some relief to his current opponents.

Maria Lampropoulos Continues to Chip Up

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Maria Lampropoulos opened to 1,200 in the cutoff, and Zo Karim three-bet to 4,000 in the big blind. Lampropoulos got a look at Karim's stack, which was about 17,000 more, and called.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and both players checked. The turn was the {4-Hearts}. Karim checked again, and Lampropoulos bet 5,700. Karim thought for awhile and eventually folded his hand.

Chris Ferguson Hits a Jack a Little Too Late

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Chris Ferguson was down to 7,000, and he moved all in from the under-the-gun position. Two seats over, an opponent re-shoved, and Ferguson was at risk for his tournament life.

Ferguson opened {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and was facing {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. The board came {K-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{J-Spades}, and while Ferguson spiked his initial three-outer on the river, it also improved his rival's hand to a Broadway straight.

"Little later then you wanted, huh?" asked the winner. Ferguson nodded and then walked away.

Lewis Picks Off Sammartino

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Two familiar faces from abroad tangled in a hand, as Toby Lewis and Dario Sammartino met in the European special.

Lewis raised to 1,000 from first position, and Sammartino came along from the small blind.

Sammartino check-called another 1,000 when the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} flopped, and Lewis checked back on the {7-Diamonds} turn. Sammartino led out 3,800 after the {2-Clubs} hit the river. That wouldn't work for him, though, as Lewis seemed to have no trouble calling.

Sammartino mumbled something, likely indicating he was bluffing. He threw his hand into muck, and Lewis then slid his cards face-down towards the dealer before raking in the pot.

Yurasov Busts to Murray

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

In the battle of the blinds, Dmitry Yurasov opened for 1,500 from the small blind. Brett Murray, directly to his left, flatted and they went to a {5-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop.

Yurasov checked, leaving the betting lead to Murray, who put in 1,500. Yurasov, however, check-raised to 4,600. Murray announced he was all in for about 14,500 effectively, as he had Yurasov covered. Yurasov called immediately.

Yurasov: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Murray: {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

Yurasov was hoping for an ace or a heart, but the dealer didn't oblige, completing the board with the {9-Diamonds} and the {Q-Clubs}. Murray's top pair held, and Yurasov tapped the table before leaving his seat.

Rainer Kempe Doubles Up

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

High Roller regular Rainer Kempe just got his remaining 6,500 chips all in from the small blind and was at risk against the player in the big blind. Kempe held {A-Spades}{2-Clubs} against his opponent's {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} {2-Spades} {K-Diamonds}, giving Kempe trip aces to double up.

After the hand, tablemate Sam Grafton jokingly berated Kempe for not taking the smaller events seriously enough.
