Brunson Scoops Benson

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo Regular

Todd Brunson completed, and Gary Benson raised to 2,400. Brunson called and led out on every street thereafter, with Benson calling him down each time.

Brunson: {X-}{X-} / {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs} / {X-}
Benson: {X-}{X-} / {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{J-Spades} / {X-}

After Benson called on seventh street, Brunson tabled {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of sixes and an eight-low.

Benson mucked and dropped under starting stack, while Brunson moved up to 62,000 in chips.

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Three-time bracelet winner Benny Glaser was all in and drawing a card heading to the last draw against Jared Bleznick, who showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-}. Glaser had {9-}{5-}{4-}{3-}, so he was already finished before even turning over his {j-}.

Turner Clips Negreanu

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Limit Omaha

The action folded to Jon Turner in the small blind, and he limped in. Daniel Negreanu checked his option in the big blind.

The {4-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop saw Turner check and Negreanu bet 1,200. Turner called, and both players checked the {9-Hearts} on the turn as the river landed the {7-Diamonds}. Turner led for 2,400, and Negreanu folded.

Bach Left Wanting With Wheel

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Badeucey

A pot of 19,000 sat between three players at Table 612 in badeucey. Iraj Parvizi checked from the blinds, Jake Abdalla fired a bet, and David Bach raised from the button. Parvizi mucked, but Abdalla made it three bets. Bach called.

Abdalla spread {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for a seven-seven. Bach showed {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} for an identical wheel but only a three-card badugi, so he got quartered.

"Wow," Bach said with a laugh. "Not supposed to be that easy to make a wheel."

Bach Back to Work

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Big O

David Bach just won the $1,5000 Dealer's Choice yesterday for $119,399, and he's back at it in the Championship version of the plaque-filled game. He just played a big pot with James Obst in Big O that saw the players battle from the blinds and take a {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop. Bach put in 3,600, and Obst called. On the {5-Diamonds} turn, each player checked, and Bach bet out pot on the {a-Spades} river. Obst folded right away.
