Zach Hench Eliminated by Steven Merrifield

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Steven Merrifield raised to 5,000 from under the gun, the player on the button called, and Zach Hench moved all in from the small blind for his last 9,400. The big blind folded and Merrifield raised the pot to 36,200. After a few moments of thought, the button folded, and Merrifield and Hench tabled their hands.

Merrifield: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{10-}{6-}
Hench: {J-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-}{6-}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{K-Spades} and Merrifield took the pot with fours full of aces.

Ankush Mandavia Climbing

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Ankush Mandavia called from the cutoff, Rick Ellerman called from the button, the small blind called, and the big blind checked.

The flop came {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and action checked around to Mandavia who bet 5,000. Ellerman folded, as did the small blind, and the big blind check-raised to 20,000. Mandavia jammed and the big blind called.

Mandavia tabled {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a strong wrap and the big blind turned over {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for the nut flush draw, a smaller straight draw, and a pair of tens.

The {A-Diamonds} on the turn gave Mandavia Broadway and a diamond flush draw, which completed on the {J-Diamonds} river to give Mandavia the pot, put his stack over the 200,000 chip mark, and eliminate his opponent.

Louie Hillman Cracks Aces with Aces

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Louie Hillman just told the PokerNews live reporting team about a hand in which he and one opponent got all the chips in preflop. Each had pocket aces, but Hillman held {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and his opponent had {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{Q-}{Q-}.

On the {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop, a chop was looking likely, but then the {J-Spades} fell on the turn to give Hillman trip jacks and leave his opponent drawing thin. The {5-Clubs} river changed nothing and Hillman sent his opponent to the cage.

Big Rick Felts Two; Takes the Lead

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Rick Ellerman called 1,200 from under the gun, the player two seats to his left raised the pot to 7,200, the player in the cutoff called, and Ellerman called as well.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Ellerman checked. The preflop raiser moved all in for his last 2,100 chips and the cutoff raised the pot to 30,000, sending Ellerman into the tank. After just under a minute, he called.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and Ellerman shoved. The cutoff called for the remainder of his stack and all three players tabled their hands.

Ellerman: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Cutoff: {10-}{10-}{9-}{3-}
Middle position: {A-}{K-}{X-}{X-}

The middle-position player turned his hand face down almost as soon as he tabled it, and the cutoff had the lead with top set, but Ellerman had a monster draw with two flush draws and a gutshot to the wheel.

The {6-Clubs} fell on the river to give Ellerman the nut flush and the probable chip lead and send both his opponents to the cage.

Alex Presman Chips Up

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Alex Presman called from the cutoff, Joey Ingram called from the button, the small blind called, and the big blind checked.

The four players saw a flop of {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and both blinds checked. Presman bet 2,500, Ingram called, the small blind called as well, and the big blind folded.

The turn brought the {K-Diamonds} and all three players checked.

The {A-Clubs} fell on the river and the small blind checked. Presman bet 7,000, Ingram folded, and the small blind folded as well.
