Jonathan Concepcion Takes One Down

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

With approximately 10,000 already in the middle and the board reading {J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}, Michael Mizrachi checked from the big blind and Jonathan Concepcion checked from middle position. Loni Harwood bet 4,000 from late position, Mizrachi folded, and Concepcion called.

The turn brought the {10-Spades} and both players checked.

The {K-Diamonds} fell on the river and Conception shoved for about 24,000. Harwood folded, and Concepcion scooped the pot for Team Mateos.

Charlemagne Benjamin Gets Team Snead Over the 100,000 Chip Mark

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Ari Engel opened the action from early position to 1,050. He was called by Charlemagne Benjamin in the cutoff and the big blind also defended.

The flop was {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the big blind checked. Engel bet 1,500 and Benjamin called while the big blind folded.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and Engel checked. Benjamin fired out a bet of 3,800. Engel called.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Engel checked again. Benjamin bet 12,300 sending Engel into the tank. After several minutes, Engel elected to call. Benjamin tabled the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a full house and Engel's cards quickly hit the muck.

Christian Christner Takes from Negreanu

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

With approximately 4,000 chips in the middle and the board reading {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Daniel Negreanu bet 2,500 and his lone opponent, Christian Christner, called.

The turn brought the {4-Diamonds} and Negreanu bet again, 4,000 this time. Christner called.

The {Q-Diamonds} fell on the river and both players checked. Negreanu announced "one pair" as he tabled {9-Spades}{5-Spades} for a pair of fives, but Christner rolled over {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and took the pot.

Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

John Morgan kicked off things for Team Morgan. He is accompanied by his girlfriend Katherine Barrese, her daughter Sasha and Sasha's husband Dan Holbrook.

Sasha is a familiar face at the poker table with over $100,000 in tournament winnings. You might also recognize her as Tracy from the Hangover films. She has seven WSOP cashes and is looking for her first WSOP gold bracelet. Morgan has one WSOP gold bracelet and over $600,000 in tournament winnings.

Former WSOP Main Event Champion Martin Jacobson is also in the field and has just under 30,000 chips for his team. He is joined by Mark Radoja who has two WSOP gold bracelets.

Ryan on Ryan Violence

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

A player in early position limped in and action folded to Ryan Laplante in the cutoff who also called. Ryan Riess was on the button and raised to 2,200. Both players called.

The flop was {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} and action checked to Riess, who bet what appeared to be 2,350. The player in early position folded and Laplante check-raised to 8,200. After taking about a minute to think, Riess called.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and both players checked to the river which was the {6-Clubs}, double pairing the board. Both players checked again and Laplante tabled {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for two pair with king high. Riess folded and Laplante raked in a nice pot.

Senovio Ramirez busted Ben Heath to eliminate Heath and teammate Charlie Carrel. Ramirez now has 79,000.

Team Farrell, which prefers to be called team UK, is Niall Farrell, Chris Moorman, and Craig McCorkell. They currently have just under starting stack. So far we have mostly just seen Farrell, but Team UK is definitely stacked with talent. However, despite over $4 million in team earnings, McCorkell is the only player on the team who has won a WSOP gold bracelet.

Next up, Team "Shakkin' Up" aka Team Shak features Dan Shak, Sam Abernathy, and Rory Brown. Team Shak has yet to win a WSOP gold bracelet, but has the talent to do so. Perhaps this event will bring Shak his first WSOP bracelet after over $1 million in WSOP tournament earnings.

Dan O' Brien joins Matt Berkey, Andrew Robl, and Bob Bright on Team O'Brien. O'Brien is currently sitting for the team and they are just getting started as level four begins.

Team Mercier is in the field with Jason Mercier joining his wife Natasha, and Felipe Ramos. Natasha did the honors of leading off the tournament and Felipe has stepped in after a couple orbits.

Andre Clarke a Magnet for Pocket Aces

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Andre Clarke just informed the PokerNews live reporting team that he had 38,000 chips just 15 minutes ago, but got dealt pocket aces three times in the span of five hands, one of which was particularly memorable.

Clarke limped from under the gun, the player next to act raised to 1,400, a player in late position called, and Clarke reraised to 7,400. Both players called.

The flop fell {A-}{K-}{Q-} and Clarke bet 16,000. The next player moved all in for 44,000, the late-position player folded, and Clarke called for the remainder of his stack. Clarke rolled over his {A-}{A-}, his opponent tabled {K-}{K-}. Neither the {9-} turn nor {7-} river brought the one-outer Clarke's opponent was looking for, and Clarke doubled up.
