William Stanford Survives Three-Way All-In

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

William Stanford was in the small blind with a bet of 5,150 in front of him. The player under the gun was all in for over 40,000. John Gallaher was all in for 9,000 in middle position. Stanford had about 18,000 behind and was contemplating the decision.

Stanford eventually called, and he and Gallaher were at risk.

Stanford: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Under the gun: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Gallaher: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

All the aces were out, and the flop came {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, giving the under-the-gun player a pair of queens and Stanford a Broadway draw. The {10-Hearts} turn gave Stanford the straight, and the {2-Hearts} river was insignificant.

Gallaher was eliminated with his pocket aces, and the other player matched Stanford's stack.

Daniel Clemente Picks Off Max Silver

Max Silver

With the board reading {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} and more than 6,000 in the middle, Max Silver bet 4,500 from early position. His opponent, Daniel Clemente in the cutoff, thought for a little while and called.

Silver showed {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts} for a missed open-ended straight draw, and Clemente's {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} was good for the pot with two pair.

Clemente moved up over 40,000, while Silver slipped down under 10 big blinds.
