Mateos Busts Lukac in Massive Pot

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Adrián Mateos
Adrián Mateos

It started rather innocent and turned into a nightmare for Emil Lukac, who ended up sending his entire stack over to Adrian Mateos. The Spaniard raised to 5,000 and Lukac three-bet to 15,000. Mateos clicked it up to 40,000 and Lukac five-bet to 115,000 with some 160,000 behind.

Mateos moved all in and Lukac spent some time in the think tank before calling it off.

Emil Lukac: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Adrian Mateos: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and the stacks were counted briefly. Mateos had 290,000 and Lukac was covered by some to hit the rail before the money. Next to Mateos is fellow big stack Alexander Lynskey and the duo might end up at the top of the counts tonight.

Farrell Can't Find a Fold

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Hand 1

On the {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop, Julian Stuer checked and Niall Farrell bet 10,000 on the button, which Stuer called from early position. On the {6-Hearts} turn, Stuer check-called a bet of 27,500 and the {A-Hearts} river was checked. Farrell had king-queen and Stuer tabled {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} for two pair.

Hand 2

Moments later in the next hand, both were at it again and Stuer bet the {Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{A-Diamonds} river for 21,000. Farrell called and Stuer showed {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The entire table laughed and Stuer silently raked in the pot. "I just can't fold," Farrell added and dropped back into the middle of the pack.

Mandavia Busts Winz for Late Surge

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Berthold Winz raised to 9,000 from under the gun and Ankush Mandavia called out of the small blind. The flop fell {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Mandavia checked, before Winz moved all in for 57,900. Mandavia took some time to make up the mind and eventually called.

Berthold Winz: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Ankush Mandavia: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The {9-Diamonds} turn and the {8-Clubs} river failed to improve Winz and he was eliminated.

Watkinson Shows Queens

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With more than 80,000 in the middle and the board showing {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}, Lee Watkinson checked and his table neighbor bet 55,000. Watkinson shoved all in for 138,500 and his opponent was sent into the think tank. Eventually, he folded and Watkinson flashed {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} while the opponent claimed he folded a set.

Turns Out Nice For Harry Lodge

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The flop was {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} with one short stack already all in for around 8,000.

Harry Lodge bet and got a call from another player in position.

The turn card was the {q-Diamonds}.

Lodge bet 34,000 and his opponent responded with a bet that covered the remainder of Lodge’s stack but he made the call.

Lodge had turned a set with his {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} to the dismay of his opponent who tabled {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

The river was the {a-Diamonds} so the all in player revealing {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} survived with a flush but Lodge gathered the big pot and got a double up.

Lynskey Takes Largest Pot of the Day

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Alexander Lynskey found himself involved in the biggest pot of the day with [Removed:342]. The two players were already heads-up on the river with the board reading {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and there was over 175,000 in the pot.

[Removed:343] checked to Lynskey who bet 58,000. [Removed:343] thought for a couple minutes then grabbed a heap of chips and said, "I'll raise another 58,000". Lynskey pondered his decision and had a feeling he might be beaten, but there was too much in the pot for him to lay it down so he made the call. [Removed:343] showed {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} while Lynskey had two pair with {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

"You Know the Game"

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Picking up the action on the {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} turn, Tristan Wade bet 12,000 out of the big blind, and Mike Leah called in the cutoff. The {6-Clubs} river completed the board, and Wade checked. Leah bet 32,000, and that forced a fold.

"You know the game," Leah joked, and pushed his two hole cards to Wade in order to pick one.

"This one?" Wade asked and pointed at the left card. Jonathan Dimmig nodded, and the {K-Diamonds} was turned over.

"You always pick the good one. I always have the king-high flush draw," Leah joked and raked in the pot.
