Hanson Takes Multi-Way Pot

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Four players saw fifth street with the boards below, when Bart Hanson took the betting lead. Matthew Smith folded, but the other two players called.

Matthew Smith: {x-}{x-}/{2-}{4-}{9-} (folded on fifth street)
Konstantin Maslak: {x-}{x-}/{3-}{2-}{3-}{a-}
Mike Matusow: {x-}{x-}/{7-}{8-}{6-}{10-}
Hanson: {x-}{x-}/{7-}{6-}{5-}{9-}

Hanson bet again, but this time, Maslak raised. Matusow was caught facing two bets and folded, leaving Hanson and Maslak heads-up to seventh. Maslak bet again, and Hanson called. Maslak showed {7-}{6-}{2-} for a seven-six, but Hanson announced a six-five. His exact cards weren't clear, but the dealer pushed him the pot.

Racener Curious Against George

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Chris George: {X-}{X-} / {3-}{A-}{Q-}{4-} / {X-}
John Racener: {X-}{X-} / {5-}{Q-}{4-}{10-} / {X-}
Frank Kassela: {X-}{X-} / {6-}{Q-} fold

Kassela completed, Racener raised, and George and Kassela both called.

On fourth street, George bet, and only Racener called.

George bet every street the rest of the way, and Racener looked him up. George showed {A-}{7-}{2-} for a seven-low, and Racener mucked his hand.

Big Stacks Battle

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Anthony Zinno and Eric Wasserson both appear to be well above the starting stack heading to the second break, and they just tangled in a pot that saw one show down an ugly hand. Zinno bet fifth street, and Wasserson raised, with Zinno calling and catching a pair.

Zinno: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{4-}{9-}{4-}
Wasserson: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{10-}{6-}{q-}

Both players opted to check at that point, and Zinno bet on the end. Wasserson called quickly, and Zinno tabled {a-}{4-}{k-} for trip fours, meaning he was playing a king-low. Wasserson, as expected, could beat that, as he had {j-}{3-}{2-} for a ten-low.

Level: 5

Limits: 1,200/2,400

Ante: 300

Johnson Nearing 100k

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Georgii Belianin bet into Marco Johnson and one other player on fourth street, and Johnson made it two bets. The third player called, Belianin made it three bets, and everyone saw fifth street, which was checked around.

Belianin: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{2-}{8-}{10-}
Johnson: {x-}{x-}/{4-}{5-}{6-}{2-}
Third player: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{3-}{5-}{7-}

At that point, Johnson had the best board and bet. He got it through the first opponent, but Belianin called. On the end, Belianin tanked and called a final bet, and Johnson showed {a-}{3-}{8-} for a wheel.

Battle of Short Stacks Goes to Wattel

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Daniel Negreanu and Mike Wattel are both well below the starting stack and saw sixth street in a recent pot heads up.

Negreanu: {x-}{x-}/{3-}{q-}{10-}{q-}
Wattel: {x-}{x-}/{4-}{5-}{10-}{8-}

Wattel bet when Negreanu picked up his ugly pair of queens.

"Now I have to hope you have eights and fives and don't get there," Negreanu said. "I'm gonna let you have it."

He folded, leaving himself with 13,000.
