David Sands endured a roller-coaster stretch of hands that culminated with his elimination.

Hand #1:

The board read {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {J-Spades}, there was more than 50,000 in the pot, and Chris Moorman and Sands had all the chips in.

Moorman: {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Sands: {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

Moorman's hand was good, and Sands matched his stack. Sands was left with just 22,000 after the hand.

Hand #2:

The very next hand, Steve Sung raised to 13,000 under the gun, and Sands went all in on the button. The blinds folded, and Sung called to put Sands at risk.

Sands: {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Sung: {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, and Sands doubled up.

Hand #3:

The next hand, Sands went all in for 55,000 in the cutoff, and Sung called in the big blind, again putting Sands at risk.

Sands: {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Sung: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board came {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {K-Clubs}. Sung's nines held up, and Sands was eliminated

Kyle Cartwright Eliminated by Scot Masters

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Kyle Cartwright was just eliminated in two hands, both of which he lost to Scot Masters. The following are the two hands, according to Masters.

Hand #1:

Cartwright raised in middle position, and Scot Masters called in the big blind. On the {J-}{6-}{4-} flop, Masters checked, Cartwright bet, Masters check-raised, and Cartwright went all in. He had Masters covered, and Masters called for around 180,000 total.

Masters had pocket sixes for a set, which held up against Cartwright's {K-}{J-} for a pair of jacks.

Hand #2:

The very next hand, Cartwright moved all in for 22,000 under the gun, another player called, and Masters called from the small blind.

Cartwright had {A-Spades}{6-Spades}, and Masters had pocket fours. Masters flopped yet another set on {9-}{8-}{4-}, and he eliminated Cartwright.
