Big Pot for Bill Pitts

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The player in early position raised to 6,000. Dan Heimiller in mid-position and William Pitts on the button both called.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. The player in early position opened to 15,000 and Heimiller called. Pitts went all in for 40,800 in total, as did the player in the early position who had more than Pitts. Heimiller had more than both of his opponents and called.

Pitts: {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Heimiller: {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Early Position: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

The turn came {5-Diamonds}, giving Pitts a straight. The {7-Spades} on the river completed the board but didn't improve any of the hands. Pitts tripled up and the player in early position busted. Heimiller got his remaining chips after Pitts was paid.

Jacks Fold to Jacks

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Paul Spitzberg opened to 5,500 from the cutoff. The player in the button three-bet to 12,000. Mark Kehrees, in the small blind, four-bet all in for a total of 31,000. The big blind and Spitzberg quickly folded. The player in the button counted his chips and went deep into the tank. After a few minutes, he shook his head and finally let it go.

Kehrees showed {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} and the player in the button quickly reached back to his hand to show him {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} before the dealer threw it in the muck.

Kehrees smiled.

Greg Raymer Applying Pressure

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On the turn of the {10-Clubs}, Raymer continued for 10,000 and after a few seconds of reflection, his opponent decided to give it up.

Greg Raymer Knocks a Player Out

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Greg Raymer

Greg Raymer, sitting in the cutoff, raised to 4,200. The player on the button went all in for 8,400 in total. Then the player in the small blind made it 9,000. Raymer four-bet to 18,000 and the player in the small blind called.

The flop ran {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Raymer's opponent check-folded to the 19,000 bet of Raymer. Raymer showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and the all-in player showed {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a pair of eights. He only needed to avoid a ten or ace to stay alive.

The turn was the {A-Clubs}, so now he needed a king or another eight to stay in the tournament.

The {4-Spades} on the river completed the board. Raymer got all the chips and started stacking them.
