Gregory Dodson Won't Give Up

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A player under the gun opened to 4,000. Thomas Bowcutt called from the button, as did Gregory Dodson in the small blind.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Dodson and the player under the gun checked. Bowcutt led for 6,000. Dodson called and the other player folded.

The dealer burned and turned the {6-Diamonds}. This time, Dodson led for 8,000 and Bowcutt called.

''I check dark,'' Dodson said right before the {5-Spades} completed the board. Bowcutt checked back.

Dodson tabled {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for deuces and fives and Bowcutt threw his hand in the muck.

Carlos Sobenes Takes One Down

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We got to the table to see the player in Seat 4 going all in from mid-position. Carlos Sobenes, in the hijack, also went all in. The rest of the table folded.

His opponent showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Sobenes showed {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}, the dealer pushed the pot Sobenes' way, and he started stacking them up.

Stuart Rabin Takes One from Martinus Kaspers

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We missed the preflop action but, on a {9-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, Stuart Rabin checked from the small blind and so did Martinus Kaspers in the cutoff.

The dealer burned and turned the {j-Diamonds}. Rabin bet 5,000 and Kaspers stuck around.

The river was the {k-Clubs}, Rabin bet 15,000, and Kaspers let it go.

''The way I'm running, I won't be here long,'' murmured Kaspers a few seconds after the hand.

Jimmy Earnest Gets a Fold

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Gabriel Mega, sitting on the button, raised to 3,8000 and Jimmy Earnest, in the big blind, called.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Earnest check-called the 6,500 bet of Mega.

They both checked when the {A-Diamonds} turned.

The {6-Clubs} on the river completed the board, Earnest bet 7,000, and Mega folded.

Stuart Rabin Knocks Someone Out and Takes from Kaspers

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We got to the table to see {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} on the board. Richard Monroe was already all in and Stuart Rabin had raised to 25,000 on Martinus Kaspers' bet. Kaspers asked for a count and called.

The {3-Clubs} on the river completed the board, Kaspers opened to 25,000, and now Rabin called.

Rabin: {K-Spades}{7-Spades}
Kaspers: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Monroe: {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Rabin took the whole pot and is now one of the bigger stacks in the tournament.

Kevin Dowling Keeps Chipping up Slowly

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Action folded to Kevin Dowling in the small blind who decided to just call. The player in the big blind checked.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{a-Spades}{2-Clubs} and was checked through the {j-Hearts} river. This time, Dowling threw in a bet of 2,000 and that was enough for him to take down the pot.

Kevin Dowling Loses One to Howard Canowitz

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Howard Canowitz limped for 1,200 from early position. Kevin Dowling checked in the big blind.

The dealer swiped {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Dowling checked and Canowitz bet 2,100. Kevin called.

The turn was the {4-Spades}. This time, Kevin led for 4,800. Canowitz called.

The {A-Clubs} river completed the board. Dowling bet 10,000 and Canowitz made the call.

Dowling tabled {9-Spades}{k-Hearts} for aces and nines but that wasn't enough against Canowitz {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.
