Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Alex Keating
Alex Keating

A player in early position limped, a middle position player raised to 575, the hijack called, and Alex Keating went all in from the cutoff for 6,725. Only the middle position player called for 4,950 total and the cards were turned up.

Middle-position player: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Keating: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Keating doubled his opponent up.

In the next hand, it was folded around to Keating on the button and he moved all in again for 1,750. Sam Stein called from the small blind and Shyam Srinivasan raised to 7,050 from the big blind. Stein folded and the players showed their hands.

Keating: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Srinivasan: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

Stein claimed that he folded {A-}{Q-} as well and Srinivasan said, "No you didn't."

The board came {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Keating spiked a nine on the river to triple up.

When Puchkov Comes to Shove

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Konstantin Puchkov had opened under the gun and got called by the player in the small blind and Bruno Politano in the big blind.

All three checked the flop of {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

On the turn card {j-Hearts}, the player in the small blind bet 700, got a call from Politano, and then Puchkov raised, resulting in a call from the small blind and a fold from Politano.

The river was the {q-Diamonds} and, when it was checked to Puchkov, he shoved all in for around 6,000. His opponent mucked.

Sam Grafton: “The Year of Tight Poker”

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

There was an open for 700 and Sam Grafton flat called.

Behind him, a third player moved all in and yet another player moved all in for a bigger stack. The initial raiser folded but Grafton was excited to see so much action and he too was all in.

Grafton tabled {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and was against the smaller stack’s {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and the bigger stack’s {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

A delighted Grafton more than tripled up.

“The year of tight poker. Queens full is no good against me,” Grafton declared.
