Robert Kuhn - 10th Place
Robert Kuhn - 10th Place

On a flop of {6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Rob Kuhn, who had opened under the gun, got his remaining 400,000 or so in with {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} against the {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} of Sam Soverel, who had flatted him on the button. Kuhn slid his chair back as a {7-Hearts} hit the turn, and the {j-Diamonds} river made it final.

Faraz Jaka had 55,000 in front of him under the gun and was facing a three-bet to 140,000 from big blind Dan Abouaf. Jaka thought about a minute and then announced all in. Abouaf grabbed all of his chips, about 575,000, and called.

Abouaf: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Jaka: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The flop and turn came clean for Abouaf: {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. However, the {k-Clubs} hit the river to eliminate him in brutal fashion.

"Bang, gutted," Garrett Greer said.

"That's dirty," Chris Hunichen agreed.

"How do you do it, man?" Greer wondered.

Sam Soverel got all in preflop from the big blind with {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and was against the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} of Rob Kuhn, who had opened in the cutoff. A board of {j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} gave Kuhn six outs to a straight after the turn, but the river was a harmless {2-Spades}.

Runout Costs Kuhn Some Value

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Christian Rudolph opened in the cutoff for 45,000 and Rob Kuhn made it 125,000 from the button. On the {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop, Rudolph check-called 80,000. He check-called 200,000 more on the {3-Diamonds} turn, and both checked when an {8-Diamonds} made a four-flush on board with Kuhn looking exasperated.

"Ace," Rudolph announced, starting to show the {a-Clubs}.

However, Kuhn had a set with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}.
