Kakhmazov Over Obst Again

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

On a completed board of {9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, James Obst slid 250,000 into a pot that looked to be around 500,000. Nadar Kakhmazov, who had checked in the small blind, said he was all in after some thought. Obst would have to call off his last 435,000 if he wanted to continue, and he decided to fold after about 15 seconds.

Kakhmazov Takes From Obst

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Four players checked a {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop and the blinds checked to preflop raiser James Obst on the {a-Hearts} turn. He bet 48,000 and only Nadar Kakhmazov, in the small blind, called. Kakhmazov checked the {6-Hearts} river and Obst bet 155,000. Kakhmazov tossed in a chip to call and Obst rolled over {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

The recent Mid-States Poker Tour champ for over $400,000 had it beat with {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for trips.

Mike Leah Eliminated in 17th Place ($24,799)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Mike Leah - 17th Place
Mike Leah - 17th Place

Faraz Jaka raised in the cutoff and Mike Leah eyed him, the pot, and the only player behind him, before announcing he was all in. It looked to be just south of 400,000 and Jaka immediately called when the big blind folded.

Jaka: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Leah: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}, no help to Leah.

"Should have played one more hand over there," he said with a smile and a nod at the other tournament he was playing.

The turn {3-Hearts} gave him added outs if a deuce fell, but the river was a {7-Diamonds}.

"Good luck over there," someone said as Leah prepared to head back to the $1K.

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Rob Kuhn raised to 35,000 from under the gun and Chris Hunichen called from the button.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Kuhn continued for 50,000. Hunichen called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Kuhn bet 110,000. Hunichen called.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Kuhn bet 350,000. Hunichen tanked for about three minutes before he called.

"So sick," commented Hunichen after the hand.
