Petluck Mocks the Sweat

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Shannon Petluck had a super strong four-to-a-wheel board and bet into Steve Jelinek, who thought for a while and then called with a raggedy board that contained a couple of diamonds.

Petluck: {x-}{x-}/{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Jelinek: {x-}{x-}/{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Jelinek faced one more bet on the end and said he had a flush draw and a gutshot to sweat out. After peeking at his card, he threw the {a-Clubs} toward Petluck's board.

"I had the card you needed," Jelinek said.

Petluck mocked wiping his brow with the hand that held his hole cards, flashing the {a-Hearts} as he did so.

David Sklansky Eliminated in 13th Place ($7,287)

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
David Sklansky
David Sklansky

David Sklansky was all in on fifth street, facing Don Zewin.

The action went quickly, and the dealer mucked Sklansky's cards in the blink of an eye. It looked like he couldn't catch up with his {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-}{9-}{5-}{X-}. On the other side of the table, Zewin showed what looked to be trip deuces.

Sklansky left the table immediately after looking at his seventh card, knowing he was defeated. The three-time bracelet winner took $7,287 for his 13th-place finish.

Sklansky Doubles Through Forrest

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

David Sklansky raised Ted Forrest's bet on fifth street, making it 1,000 more as he was all in. Forrest looked at his cards and called. "He looks!" laughed Max Pescatori.

Ted Forrest: {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} / {4-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}
David Sklansky: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} / {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Sklansky hit the {10-Diamonds} on sixth for two pair, while Forrest spiked the {6-Diamonds}. The latter could still win the pot with any queen or four on the river, but he received the {5-Spades} instead. Sklansky had already sealed a double before he added the {8-Diamonds} to his hole cards.

"Back to a hundred," Sklansky said to his friend in the rail.

Dimitrios Magdalinos Eliminated in 14th Place ($7,287)

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Down to his last 29,000, Dimitrios Magdalinos moved all in, joining the action after Justin Bonomo's complete and Ted Forrest's raise.

Bonomo called the raise and tangled with Forrest on the remaining streets. Bonomo had two low cards out and bet. Forrest called and spiked open aces on fifth. He led out, and Bonomo called. Forrest barreled on sixth street, and Bonomo kept calling.

Forrest checked the river, though, and Bonomo tried to take the full side pot with a bet. Forrest called, however.

Dimitrios Magdalinos: {X-}{X-} / {5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} / {X-}
Justin Bonomo: {X-}{X-}: {X-}{X-} / {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} / {X-}
Ted Forrest: {X-}{X-} / {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} / {X-}

Bonomo showed {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} for seven-low but no competitive high. Forrest had {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} in the hole for trip aces, and that sealed Magdalinos end as he had {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{J-Spades} for lower trips.

Magdalinos walked away in 14th place, earning $7,287.
