Riesenberg Gets the Juice From Aces

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Jason Riesenberg

Under the gun, John O'Shea made it 40,000 to go and Millard Hale flatted from the next position. Jasin Riesenberg, however, put the price little higher, announcing his all in worth 75,000 from the cutoff.

Action returned to O'Shea who re-shoved. He had 364,000 but was allowed to put in only 294,000, but it had the same effect. Hale knew he would need to play for all O'Shea's chips, and he contemplated for over a minute. Then he released his hand.

O'Shea: {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Riesenberg: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Riesenberg's aces remained ahead all the way through the {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{J-Spades} board. O'Shea failed to make a low despite a promising flop, and he had to pay off. Riesenberg nearly tripled, getting the best from his aces.

Nathan Gamble

Four players saw a flop of {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. It checked to Nathan Gamble on the button who bet 20,000. Fernando Macia was the only caller.

Macia check-called 51,000 on the {10-Spades} turn and then checked the {7-Spades} river.

Gamble announced pot and bet 206,000. Macia called.

"Ace-three-four," said Gamble, showing {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{j-Spades}. Macia showed {a-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and was quartered. Meanwhile, Nathan Gamble moved up to around 1,000,000 in chips.

Kevin Saul called on the button before Adam Hendrix raised to 48,000 from the small blind. Miguel Use reraised in the big blind. The button folded and Hendrix moved all in. Use called.

"Just the high," said Hendrix, showing {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{a-Clubs}. Use showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

The flop was {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, giving Use low and flush draws. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and the river the {5-Clubs}.

"To scoop on that flop..." said tablemate Millard Hale as Hendrix's double-up was counted out.

Christopher O'Rourke Eliminated; Two Table Redraw

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Christopher O'Rourke
Christopher O'Rourke

Nathan Gamble limped from the small blind and Christopher O'Rourke raised to 32,000 total. Gamble called.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Gamble check-called 60,000 from O'Rourke. The turn brought the {7-Diamonds}. Gamble bet the pot and O'Rourke moved all in. Gamble called.

Gamble: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}
O'Rourke: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

O'Rourke currently held the best high hand with aces, and both players were chopping with ace-deuce for a seven-five low.

"Pair the board," said Gamble. The river did not pair the board, but it was the {2-Diamonds}, giving Gamble trip deuces as well as a better low than his opponent, a six-five. O'Rourke was eliminated.

Players are now redrawing for two tables.

Johnson Quartered

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

On the flop reading {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}, John O'Shea bet out 90,000 and Marco Johnson moved all in. O'Shea snapped.

Johnson: {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
O'Shea: {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

Both players had the nut low but O'Shea also had a six. The turn {K-Hearts} missed Johnson's outs and, while the {4-Spades} brought him a wheel, O'Shea made a seven-high straight at the same time. He took three-quarters of the pot, wounding Johnson's stack.

Jason Riesenberg Gets Quartered

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Samuel Lee raised from the hijack to 27,000. Jason Riesenberg called in the big blind.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Riesenberg bet 50,000. Lee raised all in and Riesenberg called.

Riesenberg: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Lee: {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The turn was the {q-Hearts} and the river the {8-Clubs}, meaning Lee secured half the pot with his set of fives, and the low pot was split with both players holding ace-three for an eight-five low.
