Mike Watson Makes a Wheel

Level 7 : 250/500, 0 ante

On a {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} board, one opponent checked to Mike Watson. With 5,000 in the middle Watson bet 3,000 and his opponent called.

"Wheel," announced Watson, displaying {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. His opponent mucked and Watson has almost doubled his stack in half a level since registering.

Benny Glaser and Jared Bleznick Eliminated

Level 7 : 250/500, 0 ante

Benny Glaser opened to 1,750. Jared Bleznick called in the small blind and Jason Gooch announced "pot" from the big blind. Glaser was all in for 2,900 and Bleznick called from the small blind.

The flop was {3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and both remaining players got it in.

Gooch: {2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Bleznick: {5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Glaser: {a-}{4-}{6-}{8-} - double suited, no diamonds

Bleznick was ahead with trip threes, but the {a-Spades} on the turn gave Gooch the lead. The {j-Hearts} on the river meant that there was no low draw and Gooch scooped.

"You had an ace right," asked Bleznick of Glaser as they both got up from the table, "That's a one-outer!" he exclaimed.

"What," said Gooch, "You've never been one-outed before?"

Bleznick aggressively shoved his chip stack into the middle of the table, and left the tournament area.

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

Jason Mercier Eliminated

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

It's been a roller-coaster time for Jason Mercier. First we saw him double up an opponent when he held {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} on {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} against his opponent's {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Then, on our next visit to his table he was doubling up himself.

However, his quick jaunt in the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo was put to an end by Darryl Dauenhauer who held flush and low draws on a double-paired board. The Ace on the river was enough to take down the pot, and eliminate Jason Mercier who did not show.

Chip Counts from the Field; James Chen has Huge Chip Stack

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu Busts

Level 6 : 200/400, 0 ante

In a five-way limped pot, Daniel Negreanu bet the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop. A second player moved all in and a third player moved in over the top. It folded back to Negreanu who moved all in and was at risk.

Negreanu: {7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Player two: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Player three: {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The third player was calling for a "little card" to complete her low draw, while Negreanu was asking for a ten or a jack to give him a full house. The turn was the {q-Hearts} and the river the {2-Clubs}, meaning Negreanu was eliminated, with the two other players dividing up his stack between them.
