With around 15,000 in the pot and the board reading {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Mike Sexton led out from the big blind for 14,000. His opponent, Sebastian Ruiz, raised to 35,000 and Sexton called.

Gionni DeMers Nearly Stacks Guilherme Barbosa in Massive Pot

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Gionni DeMers
Gionni DeMers

With about 45,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}, Guilherme Barbosa checked from the big blind and Gionni DeMers bet 27,500. Barbosa check-raised to 123,900 and Demers called.

The river brought the {7-Clubs} and Barbosa instantly shoved. DeMers snap-called and tabled {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for the nut sraight. Barbosa sighed with frustration and flipped over {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-}{7-} for the ten-high straight which had been the nuts on the turn. DeMers took the pot to catapult him into the chip lead by miles and leave Barbosa, who was the chip leader at the start of play on Day 2, rather short.

Collopy and Kakhmazov Heading in Different Directions

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

The board read {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} with only 4,000 currently sitting in the middle. Nadar Kakhmazov checked and Jim Collopy bet 2,800. Kakhmazov raised to 12,000 only to be reraised by Collopy to 42,800. Kakhmazov called and the river brought the {2-Hearts}. Kakhmazov checked and Collopy bet the pot, forcing Kakhmazov to quickly muck his cards.

Kakhmazov came into the day with one of the larger stacks but has struggled to get anything going his way today thus far. Meanwhile, Collopy started the day off with under 50,000 and has now climbed his way to the top of the leaderboard.

Orlando Romero Sends One Home

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

A player in early position raised to 3,500 before the flop, Charalampos Lappas called from the small blind, and Orlando Romero called from the big blind.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Lappas lead out for 10,000. Romero raised to 34,000, the preflop raiser folded, Lappas moved all in, and Romero called to put his opponent at risk.

Romero held {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for aces and an open-ended straight draw, which hit on the {J-Clubs} turn and gave him a flush draw as well. The {Q-Clubs} fell on the river to give Romero the nut flush and send his opponent to the rail.

Tony Clough Takes Most of Zinno's Stack

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

On a completed board of {10-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} with about 17,000 chips already in the middle, Tony Clough bet 9,000 into his lone opponent, Anthony Zinno in the cutoff. A call would commit the majority of Zinno's remaining chips, and he went into the tank briefly.

"Do you ever bluff?" asked Zinno with a smile.

"Sometimes," said Clough with a slight laugh.

Ultimately, Zinno called and Clough immediately tabled {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for quad deuces to take the pot and leave Zinno with crumbs.

Wong Doubles Through Cichy

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

It was a limped four-way pot and the flop fell {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. The action was checked to Kenneth Wong on the button who bet 3,000. Hunter Cichy was in the small blind and check-raised to 10,000. The other two opponents folded and Wong called to see the turn.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and Cichy made a pot-sized bet of over 24,000, which was enough to put Wong at risk for his remaining 22,200. Wong called and the cards were tabled.

Wong: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Cichy: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Wong was ahead with a set of queens, but Cichy had plenty of outs with a straight and flush draw to go with his overpair. The river brought the {4-Hearts} and Wong was able to double through Cichy.

David Williams Pushes Off His Opponent

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

With around 14,000 in the pot and the board reading {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, David Williams was looking at a bet of 8,800 from his opponent. Williams slid out the chips for a call and the {7-Diamonds} came on the river.

This time his opponent checked and Williams bet 18,000. His opponent was stumped, with a confused look on his face and a shake of the head. He thought for around three minutes but eventually laid his hand down.
