Ray Henson Turns a Set Against Daniel Negreanu

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu limped under the gun and Ray Henson called from the button. By the time the betting on the {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} was finished, only Henson and Negreanu remained. Henson bet 2,000 and Negreanu called.

The turn was the {q-Spades} and Henson bet 7,000. Negreanu called and the river came the {6-Spades}. Negreanu check-called a 15,000 bet and Henson turned over {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Negreanu showed aces and then mucked.

Last Hand Before the Break

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

As Tom Koral was heading to the rail after being eliminated, Shawn Buchanan was in the tank debating whether to call for his remaining 13,000 chips.

The board read {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and five players were in the hand. The action had folded to Mark Gregorich on the button and he bet 1,200. One player called before Mike Ross raised to 45,000 and that sent Buchanan to the tank. Buchanan and Gregorich both called for their remaining chips, Ross had them both covered.

The Hands:
Ross: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Gregorich: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}
Buchanan: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The turn was the {8-Spades} and the river was the {q-Clubs} and both Gregorich and Ross chopped Buchanan's remaining chips.

Andrew Kelsall Makes it Hard to Continue

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Andrew Kelsall limped under the gun and Shaun Deeb, David Hunt, and Marco Johnson called before Dylan Linde checked his option.

The flop was {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and all five players checked. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the action checked to Shaun Deeb. Deeb bet 3,500 and David Hunt and Dylan Linde called before Andrew Kelsall raised to 23,500. All the other players folded in turn giving Kelsall the pot.

Shane Douglas Rivers a Heart to Double Through Tommy Chen

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

There was 8,100 total in the pot preflop and Shane Douglas and Tommy Chen had both put in 15,000 on the {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop.

On the {A-Diamonds} turn, Douglas, who was in the small blind, bet the pot but put out too much. Chen in the big blind wanted to know what the size of the bet was, and after some discussion between dealer and multiple players, it was determined to be 38,100.

Chen was visibly annoyed with the situation and asked Douglas why he didn't just raise on the flop. Douglas shrugged his shoulders and after several more seconds, Chen put forward a stack of pink chips and Douglas called for his remaining stack. He had 62,600 total.

Douglas: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Chen: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Chen was ahead with a set of queens, and Douglas needed a heart for a flush, a jack for quads, or a ten to chop. The {8-Hearts} river gave Douglas a flush to double up.

The hand left Chen shaking his head in disbelief, but after several seconds, his smile returned.

Hughes Eliminates Green

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Perry Green
Perry Green

Perry Green had 10,000 of his 15,700 in from late position against Ryan Hughes, who was in middle position. After the {5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop, Hughes bet 5,700 to put Green at risk.

"All right," Green said with a sigh, calling it off.

Green: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Hughes: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Green needed some high cards that weren't spades, but the {5-Hearts} turn did just as well, keeping the kings best. However, the {4-Spades} river gave Hughes the high and low with a flush and an ace-three, and he scooped to eliminate the three-time bracelet winner.

At another table, Dario Sammartino appears to have the chip lead with north of 300,000.
