Krueger Chips Up at Chen's Expense

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

From the button, Mike Leah raised to 7,500 before Quentin Krueger raised to 25,000 from the small blind.

With the action on James Chen in the big, he announced a raise to pot and pushed out 82,500 as Leah folded. Krueger called and, when the flop landed {5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}, he pushed out a stack of chips to effectively put Chen all in. Chen obliged for his final 15,000 in chips, and the cards were tabled.

Chen: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Krueger: {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The turn and river landed {Q-Hearts} and {10-Spades} and Chen was eliminated while Krueger climbed to nearly 300,000 in chips.

Henson Takes One from Daniloff

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

From early position, James Daniloff opened to 9,000 before the action folded to Ray Henson in the big blind. Henson potted to 28,500 and, after a slight pause, Daniloff called.

The dealer spread a {4-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{A-Clubs} flop and Henson potted to 58,500. Daniloff thought for a few moments before eventually folding and dropping to 186,000 as Henson moved to 175,000.

Hoang Holds to Eliminate Two

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Kate Hoang
Kate Hoang

Richard Ashby was already all in when we got to his table and Kate Hoang and Joel Ettedgi were contesting a side pot on a flop of {4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Hoang had 21,500 in front of her and was facing a pot-sized bet from Ettedgi. Hoang thought about a minute and said she was all in and Ettedgi put his stack of about 125,000 in.

Ettedgi: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}
Ashby: {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Hoang: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The turn was a {j-Diamonds} and the river a {6-Diamonds}, so Hoang's aces up were good for the double knockout.

Engel Doubles with Ace-High

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Ari Engel
Ari Engel

Ari Engel opened to 7,000 from the hijack and Ryan Miller called on the button as the flop fell {2-Spades}{K-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Engel checked and Miller bet 12,000. Engel check raised to 54,500 and Miller announced raise. Engel pushed in his 83,500 total and the cards were tabled.

Engel: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Miller: {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

With Engel holding a flush draw and Miller having a low draw, the board ran out {10-Clubs} and {10-Diamonds} to see Engel's better ace high ensure him the double to over 185,000 as Miller dropped to 150,000 in chips.

Engel Bets and Wins

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

The action folded to Ari Engel in the small blind and he raised to 9,000. Shaun Deeb called in the big blind and the dealer spread a {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} flop.

Both Engel and Deeb checked as the {9-Diamonds} fell on the turn and again they checked.

The river landed the {3-Diamonds} and Engel bet 12,000. Deeb folded and dropped to 40,000 while Engel climbed to 84,000 in chips.

Baker Times Down

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

On a final board reading {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} with both David Baker and Dylan Wilkerson committing 21,000 each, Baker checked the river and Wilkerson bet 40,000.

Baker went deep into the tank before Edward Han eventually called for the clock.

The tournament director was called over and began the 30-second count down.

As Baker reorganized his chip stack, the countdown clock reached zero and his hand was declared dead as he dropped to 135,000 while Wilkerson climbed to 110,000.

Yockey Leaves Tieman Crippled

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Bryce Yockey was on the button and got all in after a raising war with big blind Joshua Tieman, leaving himself at risk for 120,000.

Yockey: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Tieman: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}

The {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop was a good one for Yockey as the aces picked up a flush draw, but the {5-Spades} gave Tieman a low wrap with a flush draw. The {q-Hearts} river meant a Yockey double.
