Ryan Hughes Scooped by Iraj Parvizi

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 600 ante

Big O

Iraj Parvizi raised to 6,000 from under the gun, and Ryan Hughes called in the next position.

Parvizi check-called a bet of 4,000 on the {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{a-Hearts} flop and 16,000 on the {j-Hearts} turn. Both players checked the {3-Spades} river.

Parvizi turned over {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a straight and a seven-six low and scooped the pot.

Daniel Negreanu Loses Some in Triple Draw

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 600 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

After the third draw, Daniel Negreanu bet 70,000, and Jason Stockfish quickly called.

"You got it," said Negreanu, mucking his hand as his opponent showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}.

"I had {7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and got three shots at it," said Negreanu as he stacked his remaining chips.

Stockfish moved up to just under 300,000.

Lawrence Berg Eliminated; Three-Table Redraw

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 500 ante

Pot-Limit Triple Draw

On the first draw, both players drew two. Lawrence Berg checked to Ryan Hughes, who bet 10,000, and Berg check-raised all in. Hughes called. Both players drew one on the second and then on the final draw.

Hughes showed {9-}{6-}{4-}{3-} and drew an {8-} to complete his nine-low.

Berg showed {8-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and peeled his card.

"It's a three spotter," he said, "A spade..."

"F***!" he finished, turning over the {8-Spades} to seal his elimination.

Players are now redrawing around three tables.

Wong Eliminates Mercier in Huge Pot-Limit Omaha Pot

Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Pot-Limit Omaha

Jerry Wong opened under the gun with a raise to 4,000. Ryan Hughes called from the cutoff before Jason Mercier made it 18,400 to play from the button. Wong called, then Hughes called, as well.

The flop came down {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Wong announced, "Pot," after thinking about it for a few seconds. The bet was 58,600. Hughes got out of the way quickly. Mercier flicked through his cards, then moved all in. Wong called, and the cards were flipped up.

Wong: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Mercier: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}

The {10-Hearts} on the turn sealed Mercier's fate, giving Wong an unbeatable flush. The river was the {5-Spades}, but it didn't matter. Mercier was eliminated from the tournament in 20th place and collected $4,553 for his run in Event #59.
