Greenberg Gone

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We missed all the action but were there to write down the hands. With the board reading {3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}, Greenberg had {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} while Al Decarolis had {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. We're unsure when the chips went in, but we are sure Greenberg has been eliminated. Decarolis, meanwhile, is up to 890,000.

Cold Four-Bet by Stein

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

James Chen opened the hijack for 8,000 and the cutoff and button both folded. Small blind Niall Farrell three-bet to 28,000 and action was on big blind Sam Stein. He tanked for some time before deciding to cold four-bet to 71,000. Chen asked for a count but folded. Farrell called out of position.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Farrell checked. Stein bet 56,000 and Farrell called.

As the {7-Spades} hit the turn, both tapped the table and the {8-Hearts} on the river was seen for free. Farrell checked again to leave the action to Stein. Stein tanked for some time before betting 157,000. Farrell snap-folded.

Chris Johnson Eliminated by Ari Engel

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Ari Engel
Ari Engel

Ari Engel raised to 7,500 from middle position, Chris Johnson three-bet to 20,000 from the hijack, and Engel called.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Engel checked to Johnson who continued for 25,000. Engel check-raised to 73,000, Johnson reraised all in for about 185,000, and Engel called.

Engel: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Johnson: {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Engel was in the lead with top two pairs, but Johnson had flush and straight outs. However, neither the {3-Hearts} turn nor {9-Diamonds} river helped Johnson, securing the first elimination of the tournament for Engel.

Fast Loses to Lichtenberger While Tsoukernik Devours Some Caviar

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

Action folded to Andrew Lichtenberger on the button and he raised to 8,000. Leon Tsoukernik, who's been chipping up all day and was playing 750,000 in the small blind at the time, called. Big blind Dietrich Fast over-called to make it a three-way hand.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Tsoukernik, who was busy eating crackers with caviar from a little side table next to the table, checked. Fast checked as well and Lichtenberger bet 7,500. Tsoukernik, by now getting his second cracker with caviar prepared by one of the two servers standing close by, folded. Fast check-raised to 19,000 and Lichtenberger called.

Both checked the {8-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Diamonds} completed the board. Fast checked again and saw "Luckychewy" bet 48,000. Fast counted his chips, tanked for some time, and eventually tossed in two 25,000 chips to call.

Lichtenberger showed {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} right away and Fast folded.

More For Engel

Level 2 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

While we reported that Engel was on his way to a million not too long ago, he's passed that milestone since.

Just now he opened for 7,500 and Chris Johnson three-bet to 20,000 in position. Engel called and check-called 15,000 on {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} as well. Both players checked the {8-Hearts} on the turn before Engel bet 32,000 on the {5-Diamonds} river. Johnson called but mucked upon being shown {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} by Engel.

Ari Engel

With about 80,000 in the pot and the board reading {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Ari Engel checked from the hijack and Chris Johnson bet 50,000 from the button. Engel called to see the {6-Spades} river and led for 141,000. After a few moments, Johnson called.

Engel tabled {A-Spades}{5-Spades} for an ace-high flush. Johnson mucked and Engel won the pot.
