Angel Fernandez Flops a Flush to Eliminate William Haggerty

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Angel Fernandez raised to 8,500 under the gun and William Haggerty went all in for 41,500 from the big blind. Fernandez thought for more than a minute and then called to put Haggerty at risk.

Haggerty: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Fernandez: {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Haggerty's queens had a commanding lead, but the flop came {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, giving Fernandez a flush. It also gave Haggerty a set of queens, but he couldn't catch up on the {2-Diamonds} turn or the {6-Spades} river, and Haggerty was eliminated.

"I knew when you called I was dead," Haggerty said after the hand. "Never mess with the guy with chips," he added, and made his exit.

John Racener More Than Quadruples His Short Stack

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
John Racener
John Racener

Immediately after losing most of his stack to Frederick Ginther, John Racener got his remaining 3,000 chips in from middle position. The cutoff called, Ginther called on the button, and the small blind three-bet to 18,000. The big blind folded and so did the cutoff and Ginther, and it was heads up.

Racener: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Ginther: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop gave Racener a pair of sevens. The {J-Diamonds} turn provided some straight outs for Racener, and the {7-Hearts} river gave him trips to win the pot and more than quadruple up.

Frederick Ginther Leaves John Racener Short

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

John Racener raised to 9,000 in late position and Frederick Ginther called in the small blind. The big blind folded and they were heads up to a flop of {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Ginther checked and Racener bet 11,000. Ginther went all in for 57,500 and Racener called.

Ginther: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Racener: {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Ginther's set of fours was ahead, but Racener had flush outs. The {9-Spades} turn and the {7-Clubs} river did not help Racener and he matched Ginther's stack. It left Racener with just 3,500 chips.

Roberto Romanello Knocks Out Nanxi Liu

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Nanxi Liu raised to 7,000 in late position and Roberto Romanello three-bet to 17,500 from the cutoff. Liu called and the flop came {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Liu moved all in for 65,000 and Romanello made a quick call.

Romanello: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Liu: {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Romanello was in the lead with his overpair, but Liu had an open-ended straight draw. The {K-Hearts} turn gave Romanello a set, and the {8-Clubs} river could not save Liu. She was eliminated and Romanello picked up the big pot just before the final break of the night.
