Haxton Pots the Turn

Level 2 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

On the turn reading {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades}, Mike Gorodinsky and Isaac Haxton tangled in a big pot. Gorodinsky was in the hijack, and he checked to Haxton, who pulled out two T25,000 chips, making a pot-sized bet.

There was roughly 35,000 in the middle, and Gorodinsky was facing a tough decision. He would have only slightly over a pot-sized stack behind should he call on the turn.

Gorodinsky eventually laid it down, leaving this one to Haxton.

Razz

Negreanu: {X-}{X-} / {2-}{7-}{10-}{5-}
Shak: {X-}{X-} / {7-}{J-}{9-}{2-} / {X-} fold
Dehkharghani: {X-}{X-} / {10-}{7-}{6-}{6-} / {X-}

Picking up the action on fifth street, Daniel Negreanu checked with the best board, and Dan Shak checked behind. Ray Dehkharghani bet, and both Negreanu and Shak called. Sixth street was checked around, and Negreanu bet on seventh street. Shak folded, and Dehkharghani tanked for a bit before he called.

Negreanu showed {9-}{4-}{4-} for a nine-seven, Dehkharghani mucked, and Negreanu won the pot.

Benyamine Folds a Big Hand

Level 2 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Gus Hansen raised to 1,500 in middle position, David Benyamine three-bet to 5,000 from the cutoff, Mike Wattel four-bet to 17,300 on the button, Hansen folded, and Wattel called.

The flop was {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, and both players checked. The turn brought the {A-Hearts}, and Benyamine checked. Wattel bet 15,000, and Benyamine instantly open-folded {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{X-}{X-}. Wattel showed the {A-Spades}.

Seiver Can Raise "The F***ing Grinder"

Level 2 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver

Seven Card Stud

Scott Seiver had {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} out, battling against Michael Mizrachi, whose board showed {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

Mizrachi led out on fifth street with Seiver in the middle of his typical speech play. "You're the f***ing Grinder!" Seiver said before adding, "You know what? I can still raise you."

And so, he did. Mizrachi called, and Seiver asked for another club. He received the {6-Clubs}. "Oh my god, six of clubs," he said.

Mizrachi, however, wasn't scared by Sevier's sixth card, and bet out again, having paired his own six. "Six of clubs and you're still gonna bet. Oh my god," Seiver continued before raising. Mizrachi three-bet, Seiver four-bet, and Mizrachi capped it. Seiver called, and they peeled their river cards.

Mizrachi checked. "You check it after you capped it? Oh my god," Seiver laughed. "This is stupid."

Seiver bet, and Mizrachi paused. "If you'll raise him, you're my hero," Bruno Fitoussi, who's also seated at the table, told Mizrachi.

Mizrachi eventually called, and Seiver didn't hesitate, presenting his goods: "Straight flush," he said, roling over {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

Michael Mizrachi: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{6-Spades}
Scott Seiver: {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts} / {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Volpe Enters and Chips Up Immediately

Level 2 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Just after taking his seat, Paul Volpe tangled in a pot with Bryce Yockey.

Picking up the action after the turn of an {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board with roughly 17,000 in the pot, Yockey bet 6,000 from the small blind, and Volpe called from under the gun.

The river was the {5-Clubs}, and Yockey bet 25,000. Volpe mulled it over for a bit and called but told Yockey, "I should raise."

Yockey showed {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}, but Volpe had it beat with {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} for a set of queens to win the pot.

The Grinder Loses to Zinno

Level 2 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Anthony Zinno raised to 1,000 from the button, earning calls from small blind Michael Mizrachi and big blind Wil Wilkinson.

The {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop was checked through. Mizrachi then led out for 2,500 on the {3-Clubs} turn. While Wilkinson released his hand, Zinno called. No further bets were made on the {J-Hearts} river, and Zinno tabled {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} to scoop the pot.

Mizrachi, who won this tournament twice (in 2010 and 2012) flashed the {A-Diamonds} before mucking his hand.

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Sulsky: {X-}{X-} / {2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs} / {X-}
Chan: {X-}{X-} / {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} / {X-}
Ashton: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} / {X-} - fold

On fourth street, Matthew Asthon and Ben Sulsky checked to Johnny Chan, who bet. Both Ashton and Sulsky called. Chan bet fifth street when checked to, and Ashton and Sulsky called again. Chan gained the lead on sixth and bet. Ashton and Sulsky both called the bet. On the river, Chan bet, Ashton called, Sulsky made it two bets, Chan made it three bets, Ashton folded, Sulsky made it four bets, and Chan called.

Sulsky flipped open a disguised {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for sixes full of fours, but Chan tabled {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and scooped up the entire pot with kings full.
